"You need to stop doing this to your body. It's starting to effect your breathing and it's really hurting you."
"You know I can't stop it. What will happen when they realise I'm not... you know."
"They won't mind."
"Yes they will. I lied to them, they hate liars."
"Just tell them why you lied they'll forgive you. They really like you. You've really settled in well to this home."
"I can't tell them. I just can't. Promise me you won't say anything" they held their pinky out. Sighing, the other wrapped her pinky around the younger ones.
"I promise." The two exchanged a look before the older one dropped her smile and said seriously "you should tell them though."Life is different here than it is at home, it's strange, the atmosphere is less tense. Even when it's just us in the house, the servants seem completed isolated. I hardly see my brothers at the moment. I don't speak to the servants. It's not 'proper' and they are all much older than me. I kind of wish my brothers would hire someone near my age. It would be nice to be around someone who I can relate to. Well kind of relate to. I'm a noble and they're a servant but really that would be all right? My brothers would never go as far as to make a contract, it still baffles me that he did it. You can't really tell with them that they are a master and a contracted human. They could pass for a parent and child I've no doubt. The servants in this house aren't afraid, the youngest of course is not, he loves his life. The others are the same. They're quite frankly idiots but yet their shenanigans aren't met by punishment but a light scolding. Big brother has changed since the past. It's a good thing though. He used to scare me a little. I know what he did.
The timing is off. No. No. This isn't right. There's no structure in this house. No regular time schedule. At home everything is on time, we have a strict regiment. I don't know if I like it here I mean, I can deal with no schedule for one day, Two at utter most but it's already so different that it's confusing me. I asked him when dinner was. He said probably 6 pm. Probably? He's odd my brother. He always has been. That's why we're so close because I guess I'm odd too. I got my musical talents from him you see, him and my father. Father doesn't play much anymore at all. Big brother does... sometimes. Apparently the boy had never heard him play. He used to always help me practise. I'd say I wonder why he doesn't play but I do know. It was the passing of mother. I didn't know her very well. I was so young. I still miss her very much.
The day continued on with a sort of dimmed quiet. It sounds just so ridiculous in all honesty. He cannot choose the woman I shall marry. Mother always told us all that we can choose who to marry. If we marry at all. I always said I didn't want to marry at a young age. I still don't know if I want to marry in the first place... marriage doesn't seem like the right path for me and besides I haven't met anyone I would want to willingly marry. My mother was a rare exception to the somewhat boring women that prowl the streets in search of a rich husband to marry too. Mother was a rich lady who had met Father at a ball hosted by a mutual friend of the families. Why am I thinking about this all of a sudden. Come on. Focus. It doesn't matter about that. How to get my mind off of it. I know.
"Murmur. I heard you playing your violin outside" Sebastian smiled to his brother. He nodded.
"I was practising." Taking a sip from his glass Sebastian looked towards the window.
"Why don't we practise together?" He asked. The younger boys eyes lit up.
"That would be amazing!" It had been many years since the two had played together. Just the two of them.
"It was just over ten months ago when we last played and that was with the orchestra" Murmur remembered.
"I didn't think it had been that long." Sebastian said quite shocked actually. How long had he actually had Ciel for then. It must have been nearly a year. He looked down trying to figure it out exactly.
"You look confused?" Murmur asked.
"I'm trying to figure out how long I've had Ciel for now. It has to have been nearly a year. I can't place it exactly though."
"Ask him. He's good with dates" Lilitu suggested.
"It was before the concert. Not that much though only a few weeks a month at most."
"That means it is almost a year! How exciting" Lilitu smiled. "You know brother I cannot believe you waited so long to introduce the boy to us." She said offhandedly. Sebastian looked out of the window. Finny was pulling up weeds. Ciel should be going out there soon. He always goes to see Finny after he is finished in the dining room.
"He needed time to learn and I think three demons was a big enough change." He told them both. The two children exchanged a look. "They were horrible."
"They were creepy."
"Why did you have them in the first place?" The two asked. Sebastian stood up going to the bell.
"They were what I needed at the time. Not anymore. I'm very happy with the servants I have now" he said ringing the bell for Freckles.
