Ever since the visit from his father Sebastian kept his distance from many people: his siblings included. The words his father spoke and the memories of the children who had their lives stolen away from them by his own hands stuck with him. There was only one person in the torturous existence that is his light. It's a light dimmed and darkened through pain, anguish and terror but yet a light all the same. It was unheard of for a demon to grow a strong bond to an enslaved human. A bond that is not lust nor greed nor desire. A bond that does not involve the joining together of two bodies to create one nor does it involve rapture of damaging a body beyond recognition. This bond was different but what exactly it was the demon could not say.
The twins enjoyed toying with Ciel oh so much. They were forced to secrecy as they were scolded if there games were seen by the master however the gullible, innocent, little slave boy did not want to bother his master with the wrong doings of the twins so he did not tell him: simple as that I suppose but at the end of the day he was still being hurt, played with and this was not good for the boy.
One day the boy entered his master's chambers with a slight limp on his left leg when asked about it the boy shrugged and smiled weakly and hopelessly. "I banged it is all sir. I fell down the stairs..." He looked down ashamed at himself but Sebastian merely nodded.
"Be careful next time please we don't want you hurt now do we?" He asked. Ciel shook his head and said he would be more careful. He promised. That was a promise however the young lad could not keep for you see he did not exactly "fall" down the stairs well he did some help... Incubus thought it just hilarious to spill some water exactly at the right spot for the boy to slip causing him to a) hurt himself and b) have more work to do.
Why Sebastian kept the demon twins on was a complete mystery to Ciel as he did not ever see them do any work but he would never bring it up. Oh no. He could not. What would his master think? He shook his head and continued his work forgetting about the blurred vision that would pass his eyes from time to time.
"Odd what has gotten into the boy?" Was a thought that was going through Sebastian's head as he saw his little servant boy skip from running around trying to do things clearly too big for him to him coming back to his original position scratching his head wondering what on earth he was doing to him spending an awful amount of time hidden in either the outhouse or the servants quarters. This confused the demon so he decided to follow him: secretly of course. It started as Ciel entered the main room. On his knees he would clean out each one of the fireplaces keeping the small flames going. He had gotten used to the sudden change in temperature and actually now he quite liked it. He cracked his knuckles on the floor as he pulled himself up ready for his next task - tending to the masters room. He walked with a little jump to his step to his master's room only to suddenly freeze and run in the opposite direction towards the outhouse. The snickering of the twins could be heard as the footsteps passed the servant's quarters. So that's what's wrong with Ciel. They've done something. Sebastian's eyes glowed with annoyance as he made his way to the servant's quarters.
On his arrival he saw Incubus and Abdiel sat watching Ciel out of the window. They were supposed to be preparing dinner but weren't. Sebastian watched them for a second speaking in their native tongue. He understood every word. "Quid a nobis, ut fiduciam stultus puer" Incubus smirked (What a stupid boy trusting us like that). Abdiel laughed. "Nam quis hunc effectum in homine accipere cognoveris daemrniorum". (Indeed who would have known that Devils snare would have this effect on humans) Devils snare!? Sebastian couldn't believe what he was hearing. That could easily kill a human if they are given too much. "Melius quam me putavi fore" Incubus smirked. (It's better than I thought it would be). He should've never let Ciel out of his sight with the twins around they could kill him. "Numquam dominum" (the master will never know) Abdiel sneered and smirked. "servus domino loqui non audeant . Vix etiam ipse quid faciemus" (the servant won't dare say a word to the master. He's too scared about what we will do).
"And what will you do" Sebastian's voice cut through there happiness. They froze but then smirked. They bowed to him. "A thoussand apologiess my lord you ssee the boy hass been acting sso sstrange sso we decided to watch over him" Abdiel looked to him. Incubus agreed. "Poor boy must've eaten ssomething rotten caught him routing through the binss you know" he told his master. Sebastian growled. He had ordered them to prepare enough food so Ciel can be healthy. It seems they have disobeyed him. "Eaten from the bins? How strange. I'm sure I ordered you to make enough food so he may be healthy and strong again. And why isn't dinner started?" He asked. They start to speak when Ciel enters back into the room again looking incredibly pale holding his stomach in pain. He looked up and saw the master freezing in his place. "I'm so sorry sir. Honestly I am. I will get back to work right away" he whispered softly in a tone that proved he was in such agonising pain. Sebastian couldn't be angry with the poor boy it wasn't his fault. He would examine him in his own room where it was safe for the servant. "That is quite alright Ciel" he turned to leave. He will deal with the twins later. Ciel was about to take another step towards the door when he was pushed backwards by one of the twins sending him straight backwards hitting his head on the door. This aggravated Sebastian so much that he quickly snapped. A few seconds later and Ciel had slipped peacefully into a coma. Quite lucky as well for if he had seen what his master truly was capable of only god knows what would have happened. Only god knows. Funny. God can be seen in two ways by people in Ciel's position. A saviour or a destroyer. Some pray and hope every day that when they finally are killed (for dying naturally just wasn't an option) God would save them and take them to a place where they can spend the rest of eternity in peace and love. However some see God as a sign of hate and deception. If God truly does exist why are they still living a life of sin and hell? Well... What side is Ciel on do you ask? Funny again. For Ciel is not an ordinary child never has been, never will. God has not played a part in his life since... that day. The day everything was taken away. His family, his love, his friends, his humanity all taken away.
((I hope you like this chapter. I'm so so so sorry it's been so long since I last updated but it's been pretty busy with my life and I also had serious writers block. I'm not with it at the moment 😂. You can tell my the original chapter of this being Dragons Snare when I meant it to be Devils snare and also I completely forgot that Incubus and Abdiel roll there 's's as they speak. I promise more chapters will be added soon. Thanks for reading)).
