Chapter 19: Failed Ambush

Chase's Pov
I brought out my guns and went to where the two people decide to ambush us. I crouched on a tree and saw the two people. I jumped down. "Ah, so Ceylan and Christine, nice of you to join us." I said.

"Us?" Ceylan asked. Cecelia jumped down beside me. "Thanks for coming to our little show. Let's see how you fare between the both of us." Cecelia said.

"You guys are our opposites, should be fairly easy." Ceylan said. "Yes, we're your opposites, but we're evil. We can and will kill without mercy." I said. "Cruel." Ceylan said.

I held up my guns and shot four bullets from each gun above Ceylan's head and into the tree behind him. "Cecilia, do us the honor of getting this show on the road." I said.

"With pleasure." Cecilia said and used her crossbow to shoot Christine to the tree. "Great, now I'm stuck." Christine said. "Let's do this." I said and attacked Ceylan.

I used my guns to shoot some of the arrows from the crossbow. But I used my own hands to attack him. "Your doing great Chase." Cecilia said. "Thanks." I said.

I had grabbed one of the arrows and stuck it in the crossbow. Ceylan tried shooting but it blew up in his face. "Looks like your little weapon is no more." I said.

Cecilia and I then walked away. "Aren't you going to capture us or something?" Christine asked. "Hm, tempting but nah. We want a challenge so start training." Cecilia said.

Cecilia and I went back to the base and left the two people back there. "So, you really want a challenge?" Cecilia asked. "I know they won't grow stronger, that's why I left them." I said.

Christine's Pov
Ceylan came up to me and took the arrows out of my clothing that stuck me to the tree. "Do you really think we need training?" I asked. "Yeah, if we wanna beat them." Ceylan said.

"Yeah." I said. Ceylan threw the arrows on the floor and I fell. Ceylan helped me up and I thanked me. "Let's not ambush them next time." I said. "Agreed." Ceylan said.

'Hey, Ceylan, Christine, you guys gotta head to the base now.' Guren thought. 'On our way.' I thought. Ceylan and I left and ran back to the base and went inside.

Once we got inside, we immediately sat down on the couch. "How was the ambush?" Guren asked. "We got destroyed." I said. "And we regret trying the ambush." Ceylan said.

"Why?" Guren asked. "They got us pinned down and we couldn't do anything about it." I said. "Oh, that's not good." Maddison said. "Ya think." I said.

"Why would they let you go though. It doesn't make any sense." Amanda said. "Yeah, they had us pinned down, but they didn't take the chance." Ceylan said.

"What did they really say?" Joshua asked. "They said that we needed to get stronger." I said. "Well..." Jackson said. "Don't you dare say they were right." I said, almost glaring at him.

He put his hands up in surrender. "Fine I won't. But we could do with more training. We haven't really done much." Jackson said. "Or we could take a day to relax." Mariam said.

"Why and how would we do this?" Victor asked. "We would do it because we need a bit of time to relax so we don't stress. How, I don't know." Mariam said.

"I could make a sheild for a day." Yasmin said, walking past to the hallway. "Well, if she's okay, we could do it." Tora said. "She's most likely okay with it." Amanda said.

"I'm giving it that Yasmin won't actually do any relaxing." Beni said. "I'm giving it that Amanda and Joshua will force her to." Ash said. "You're on." Beni said.

"Winner gets fifty bucks." Ash said. "Fine." Beni said. "You two are weird." Toxsa said. "We're all weird."Samantha said. "Katie's probably the sanest one." Ceylan said. "Agreed." I said.

"Anyways, tell us what happened with the surprise attack." Alexia said. Ceylan and I started explaining about what happened.

Alexia's Pov
I watched as Christine and Ceylan told us everything. Then Kaycee walked into the room. "You freaking idiot. You got hurt when you weren't supposed to." Kaycee said to Ceylan.

"Your not my mother." Ceylan said. "I know but your able to get into some real..." Kaycee started but Yasmin passed by and interuppted her. "No swearing." Yasmin said.

Then Joshua got up and dragged Yasmin into the room. "So can you actually put up a sheild?" Mariam asked. "Yeah, just depends on what day." Yasmin said.

"How about tomorrow." Kewei suggested. "Sure." Yasmin said. "So, how are we gonna relax?" Vincent asked. 

"We have a freakyingly huge pool in the back." George said. "How do you have it when we've never even seen it?" Isabelle asked.

"We hide it." Stephen said. "And we can give you guys swimmers." Mabel said. "Okay, so we are gonna have a day of relaxation tomorrow." Mariam said. "Yeah." Mina said. 

"Okay. Let me correct you. You are gonna have a day of relaxation. I'm gonna train." Yasmin said. "Well, she definetly is refusing to relax tomorrow." Beni said.

"Wait til tomorrow." Ash said. "Okay, so we should get to sleep. It's gotten really late." Jae said. "Yeah, we should." I said and we all went to our 'beds'.

I sat on my bed and kind of remembered all the things that happened. I saw that Samantha was still up and since both our 'beds' are next to each other, I was able to talk to her.

"You still up?" I asked. "Yeah." Samantha said. "Isn't it weird how this happened to the sixty seven of us." I said. (Literally had to count all the characters at one point).

"Yeah." Samantha said. "Do you really think that we'll all make it back alive." I said. "Yeah, we should at least. We're all trying to get back there." Samantha said. 

"True but there is a chance we all won't make it back." I said. "Let's just hope we do." Samantha said. "Yeah." I said and decided to go to sleep.
