Chapter 33: Control

Maddison's Pov
Toxsa and I fought and soon we saw that Yuri was about to land a huge blow on all of us. Yasmin quickly stood in front of the team and a huge force field surrounded us.

I looked at Yasmin and saw that she had scars and bruises on her face, her arms her legs. She had deep gashes, deep enough to probably disable that bit of her body for a while.

"You need to let go of the force field. You're gonna damage your body." Dark said. "No, he's gonna hurt you all." Yasmin said. "I'll deal with that. You just stop." Dark said and Yasmin let go of the force field.

"Okay." Yasmin said. She's pushing herself beyond everything. She's straining herself. For her friends and family. She even knows the consequences.

As we were fighting, I looked around to see Chooki fighting Yasmin. "Okay, when did this turn into switch the roles?" I asked. "What do you mean?" Toxsa asked.

"Chooki and Yasmin are fighting." I said. "Okay, thats not normal." Toxsa said. "Yeah, but why?" I asked. 'Guys, Yuri is controlling Chooki.' Dark thought. 'How?' I thought.

'Yeah, we would like to know that too." Rick thought. 'His physical body is being controlled by Yuri, so Yuri can get him to do anything even though he doesn't want to.' Dark thought.

'And that means that he might kill Yasmin although he doesn't want to.' Joshua thought. 'Yes.' Dark thought. 'We have to help her.' Joshua thought. 'Overprotective brother, incoming.' Ceylan thought.

'I swear I will kill you.' Joshua thought. 'I'm out.' Ceylan thought. I went back to concentrating on the fight instead of trying to communicate. I looked at Marcel then at Topaz.

I thought of a plan. I used my katana to knock them to their feet. "Toxsa, use your powers." I said. Toxsa used his earth powers to trap them. "That's taken care of." I said.

I let my katana disappear and sat on top of the cage. "Now, let's see how this all goes down." I said. "Why do you think Yuri chose Chooki specifically to control?" Toxsa asked.

"Their history. Yuri is the opposite of Yasmin so obviously he has a history with Charlotte which allows him to know that Yasmin would have one with Chooki." I said.

"True that." Toxsa said. "I hope Midnight's okay. She did sacrifice herself so, she's got to be okay." I said. "Yeah, and to whatever that place was." Toxsa said.

"Let us out of this earth cage!" Marcel shouted. "How about, no." I said. "Fight like a true warrior." Topaz said. I got down from the top of the cage and looked her in the eye.

"A true warrior knows when a battle is over. A true warrior would know how to shut their trap when their captured so you'd better do it now, or I'll be more than glad to do it for you in less than a split second." I said.

Kiro's Pov
Kirby and I were talking since we couldn't fight. "Why does Yuri want to rule my universe?" I asked. "He got bored of this place. He lives off of fear and he needs more to grow strong." Kirby said.

"But why, isn't he strong enough?" I asked. "I dunno. Charlotte tells me all the time that Yuri doesn't have enough power to survive." Kirby said.

"Wait, doesn't that mean Yasmin will die if she doesn't have enough power?" I asked. "I dunno. Maybe, maybe not." Kirby said.

I got worried. "How much power does Yuri have?" I asked. "From what I know, he has a lot. I think it's more than Yasmin." Kirby said.

"Is that why he can control Chooki?" I asked. "Probably." Kirby said. Samantha then came up to me. "Hey, you alright?" Samantha asked.

"Yeah. But apparently Yasmin might not have enough power to survive the fight." I said. "Oh, okay. I'll go tell her. Don't try to fight though." Samantha said.

"Yeah, I know." I said. "Okay, bye." Samantha said. She took off and I grabbed Sandy. I hugged him close to me since I didn't like this place.

"Have you ever been to another universe?" I asked. "No." Kirby said. "Wow." I said. "Charlotte told me that they went to a different world though." Kirby said.

"Chooki never told me that." I said. "Did anyone go to your world?" Kirby asked. "Yeah, the ninja." I said. "Wow, how was it?" Kirby asked. "They were nice." I said.

"Charlotte always tells me not to talk to anyone good. I dont know why." Kirby said. "Well, you guys are evil." I said. "Yeah, but some of us dont like it." Kirby said.

I looked up and saw that Chooki and Yasmin were still fighting. "I hope he's okay." I said. "You really care about you're cousin." Kirby said. "Of course I do. He's always taken care of me." I said.

"You're lucky. No one really cares about me." Kirby said. "Well, you're a nice boy." I said. I watched the fight. I looked at Yasmin and saw her being defeated by Chooki.

I wish I could help but I couldn't. I had protect them but I couldn't protect them from each other. I watched as Charlotte ran at Yasmin and she stopped her attack.

Charlotte and Chooki were now fighting Yasmin. Charlotte had a bad look in her eye and Chooki looked like he didn't like this. I wanted this to end but I couldn't do anything.

I was hoping that Chooki would be normal again and that this would all be over. I kept hoping that as I watched the fight. I didnt like any of this.

I held Sandy closer to my chest as I watched the fight. "Please be okay." I said as I continued to watch Yasmin defend herself from everyone attacking her.

I then saw Yuri grab Yasmin from behind. I didn't like where this was going. I saw Yuri grab her corebrick. "No." I said. I could tell what was gonna happen.
