Chapter 36: Stop time

Kewei's Pov
Roman and I were fighting Rosalinda while Theo and Tina were fighting Keith. I looked over at Roman and saw all the cuts that he had. I sighed. He had those cuts because he blocked the attacks coming towards me.

I felt bad but I couldn't worry about it right now. I blocked an attack as Roman pushed Rosalinda away. I was getting worried. He seemed to concentrate less on the fight. "Roman, Roman, concentrate." I said. He snapped out of it and hit Rosalinda.

What was wrong with him. In the time that I've known him, he's never been like this so what does this time have to be any different. We kept fighting until I saw a portal open up. It seemed familiar. I then remembered it looked like the portal to where Midnight went.

Midnight. The one that she made. Thats right, she and that monster went down there. Nightmare mentioned that she might not be alive. Then I saw Midnight fly out of the portal and quickly close it. She had scars and cuts.

She looked like she's been fighting. She might have. 'Hey everyone, Midnight's alive.' I thought. 'Yes.' Nightmare thought. 'I could have just said that you know.' Midnight thought. 'I know.' I thought. 'Anyways, concentrate.' Roman thought.

I looked at Rosalinda as she jumped and tried to land her katana on me but failed miserably since Roman pushed her back. We fought quickly and I kept looking at where Yasmin was. I was worried that she was going to get herself hurt.

I didn't know Yuri at all but I knew Yasmin. And she was ruthless when she was mad or when she was evil. And since Yuri is her opposite self, he can be ruthless. And I dont think thats a good thing. His comrades weren't as ruthless but I think thats because Yuri is different.

He didn't seem to weaken. I started looking for weak spots in him but I couldn't find any. That was a talent I had. The ability to look for weak spots. And it was very useful but I couldn't find any in Yuri. What is this guy, a machine.

Roman had another cut from Rosalinda. I kept blocking her attacks but couldn't land any of my own. It was weird. Its like these opposites didnt have any weak spots. Maybe its because they have our weak spots.

Roman's Pov
I looked at Kewei and saw that she was trying to find a weak spot in Rosalinda. It wasn't going to work, I know my own self and I dont have a weak spot visible to the eye. I kept fighting no matter what. I knew Id rather die than have Kewei hurt.

As I fought, I had a little feeling that at the end of the battle, there's not gonna be something good. I dont like this place and the fact that something might be wrong, I couldn't help but think that someone could be badly injured.

I shook off the thought and blocked another of Rosalinda's attacks. "You might be my opposite but you seem pretty weak." Rosalinda said. "I'm never weak." I said as I swung my katana. I had to at least keep her away from Kewei.

I saw Rosalinda focus her attention on Kewei. Kewei seemed distracted so I took the blow. It hurt to fight right now but I couldn't stop. 'I swear I want to kill Yuri.' Ceylan thought. 'Yeah, if he didn't want to attack us right away, we would all have more strength to fight.' Christine thought.

I just focused on my fight. I knew that it was a bad idea to be fighting right now but I couldn't do anything to help it. Rosalinda pushed Kewei down and was about to attack her before I stopped her. I blocked her and kicked her back.

I put my hand out to help Kewei up. She grabbed it and I pulled her up. "You okay?" I asked. "Yeah." Kewei said. Kewei had invisible weapons so I had no idea what they were. She used it to block an attack from Rosalinda. I looked towards Yasmin and saw her on her knees.

What was wrong with her. I could see Yuri about to attack her. I couldn't do anything. 'Someone has to help Yasmin.' Jack thought. 'I got It.' Sasha said. I had no idea what she was going to do but we all trusted her.

Sasha's Pov
I stopped time. Well, slowed time down. I walked up to Yasmin. She had her hands over her head. I needed to know what was going on. I put my hand on her shoulder. "Yasmin, Yasmin, what's wrong?" I asked. "I don't know. I keep seeing my friends dead." Yasmin said.

"Okay, look at me." I said. She lifted her head and looked at me. "Look, its not real. Yuri has an effect. He is your opposite self. So he can manipulate your thoughts as you can minupalte his. Its, uh, just a fear." I said.

"But it could happen. At the end of the battle, all my friends could end up dead." Yasmin said. I felt fear because Yasmin has all our powers so she might have a few visions of what might happen. But I didnt show it.

"Hey, I might not know you for long but I know them. And they need your help. And I know that they won't die without a good reason too." I said. "But." Yasmin started but I interuppted. "No buts. You'd better be back to normal once we're done." I said.

"Okay. Okay. Okay. I'm fine. I just need to breath." Yasmin said. I helped her up and saw her hair change colours. "By the way, you might wanna keep your emotions under control, don't want anyone to think that you actually have emotions." I said.

I saw them revert back to white and I walked to my fight. I put time back to normal and l fought Samuel. I saw Yasmin fighting Yuri and I smiled. She was back to normal and her head was in the game. Now, let's end this battle.
