Chapter 37: Injuries

Joseph's Pov
I was fighting with Jocelyn when I saw Yasmin was back to normal. I then remembered that Sasha had the ability to slow time. Must have helped her. Jocelyn and I were using strategies while fighting.

Josephine seemed to catch on and threw Jocelyn back. I immediately ran to Jocelyn who was hanging off the building with one hand. I felt Josephine behind me but I didnt care. "Grab my hand." I said. Jocelyn tried reaching for my hand but Josephine didn't allow it.

She grabbed my arm and pulled it a way it definitely shouldn't go. I bit my lip in excruciating pain. "Joseph!" Jocelyn said and she was slipping. I kicked Josephine away and put my now injured arm so Jocelyn could grab it.

"Grab my hand." I said, pushing through the pain. "But, you're arm. It could get worse." Jocelyn said. "I don't care." I said. She still didnt grab it. I pushed myself down and grabbed her. I pulled her up back onto the building. I then hugged her.

"What are you doing? What about you're arm?" Jocelyn asked. "I don't care about my arm. As long as you're not dead." I said. Jocelyn smiled and hugged me back. I smiled and we got up. Though Jocelyn had to help me up.

"Can't you heal it yourself?" Jocelyn asked. "Nah. Can't heal myself. Only other people." I said. We got our weapons out and Josephine saw the situation. She smirked. "I don't really think your in the condition to fight but, its not like I care." Josephine said.

"She's right. You have an injured arm. You need to get it fixed." Jocelyn said. "I'm fine." I said. I moved my arm slightly and it hurt like fire was crawling up my arm. "No you're not." Jocelyn said. "I'm fine. Let's just get this over with." I said.

"No you're not!" Jocelyn yelled. I just looked at her. "You always say you're fine but you never are. I've seen you get hurt and go through pain so why can't you tell me the truth!" Jocelyn exclaimed. "I know. And I'm sorry. But, can we please concentrate on the fight." I said.

Jocelyn sighed. "If you are in pain and not telling me, I will drag you with you're injured arm and get it fixed. Got it." Jocelyn said. "Yeah. I got it." I said. "This is so boring. I want to fight." Josephine said and quickly ran at us. We both held our stances.

Jewel's Pov
Rick and I were fighting with Roberta and Roberto. Rick and I were fighting Jeremy while Roberto and Roberta were fighting Rina. I didnt know why but I kept looking at other fights. I know it was bad but I just wanted to make sure everyone was safe.

I realised it was getting dark. How long have we been fighting for. But, as I looked up, it wasn't dark as in night, but like a storm cloud. I then saw lighting strikes. It didnt hit anyone, surprisingly, but it did disappear.

"Freaky weather." Rick said. "Yeah." I said. Then Jeremy used telekinesis to lift Rick up. I tried stopping him but he stopped. "Ground, incoming." Rick said and crashed to the ground way too hard. "Ground decided to say hi way to fast." Rick said.

I helped him up and he almost fell again. "Well that was an interesting fall." Rick said. He literally was positive about injuries and I found that funny. "Got any bruises?" I asked. "Not that I know of." Rick said.

I brought my spiked sword over my shoulder and stopped Jeremy's attack. "You good?" I asked. "Yeah. Anyways, let's get back to concentrating on the fight." Rick said. "Okay." I said and turned around. I put both hands on my spiked sword.

I tightened my grip and Rick carelessly threw around his double bladed axe. Though he didn't hurt himself. "You are careless." Jeremy said and hit Rick. But Rick reacted just in time to block. "You know, its not good to underestimate someone." Rick said.

Rick smiles and pushes Jeremy back. Rick always made a fight seem like a game although I knew that he was actually trying. I actually found that awesome. Being able to make everything seem like a game when it's not.
