Chapter 6: Not evil

Mariam's Pov

I was stuck in my own mind. I don't exactly know how but when I was captured by Yuri, I was conscious. They had thrown Yasmin and I into the same cell and left. A few later they had come back with a machine. I asked Yasmin what the machine was and she told me that it was something bad. The machine was shot at us and I got stuck in my mind. I didn't know how to get out. I didn't know how to control, myself. However it was, this evil person controlling me wasn't so good.

I tried to get back in control. I could see everyone I was fighting. Wait, not me. This evil person who has taken over me. I was mainly fighting Jackson. I had to try to get back in control. I couldn't hurt them. I couldn't hurt him. I saw Martinez and Jackson talking about something but I couldn't quite figure it out. I struggled to get back into control. But the more I struggled, the more I got lost in the depths of my mind. I wasn't getting anywhere. It felt like I had chains tying me down, And the more I struggled, the more it was pulling me down. 'Someone, help me.' I thought.

I continued to struggle and struggle. It felt like I was in a straight jacket and struggling to get out. Not that I knew. Whatever that machine was, really turned me evil because I am having struggles controlling myself. Why did I have to be evil. And I'm not doing much to help. Then I saw Jackson put something on my hand and said a couple of words. And for once, I heard the words. I was able to fight back the evil. And soon, I was in control.

Jackson's Pov

I looked at Mariam in hopes that she was good now. I saw her dark purple eyes revert back to her original. "What the." Mariam said. "Yes, now, I got someone to deal with." I said and went after Martinez. I attacked him until he was down. "I won't kill you because, I don't want to. But know this, don't you dare turn her evil again or it will be more than just your life on the line." I said and he ran away. I saw everyone still fight.

I fought with them and saw Chooki avoiding Yasmin. I know she's evil and all but why is he trying not to talk to her. As I fought, I saw a whirr go by and in a split second, every enemy had fallen. "I don't know how you didn't see it but I can't be turned evil anymore. Oh well, good for trying, here's your prize." Yasmin said and attacked them in the quickest way possible. I looked at her and her eyes were no longer red. "So, is that why you were avoiding her?" I asked Chooki. "Yeah, and she's also annoyed." Chooki said.

Once Yasmin was finished with her attack, the enemy was retreating. "So, that was a good workout, let's do it again." Yasmin said. "No!" We all yelled out. "Kidding. Anyways, let's get back inside." Yasmin said. "Yeah." Katie said. We all walked inside the base and sat down in the main room. "Here's food, might not be that great but we haven't really made this much food for this much people so enjoy." Mabel said as she and Jacqueline brought food out. "I'll eat outside." Yasmin said as she got her food. She got up from the floor and went outside.

"Something's up with her." Beni said. "Yeah, and it isn't good." Joshua said. "How can you tell?" Guren asked. "She actually decided to eat something." Joshua said. "That sounds like she never eats." Nikki said. "I don't mean it like that. I mean she actually decides to eat something here. Stress can get to her and this will make her not eat as much." Joshua said. "Oh yeah. She's done that as a kid too. When we would hang out at breaks, she wouldn't eat when something important was coming up." I said. "Makes sense." Mark said.

"So, anyone in particular gonna talk to her?" Tora asked, looking at Chooki. "I'm not gonna do it yet." Chooki said. "Tora, just leave it." Gen said. "Okay bro." Tora said. "Does anyone have an idea about how to get out?" Mike asked. "Not really." Samantha said. "Don't come to me. This place isn't with much tech." Joshua said. "And we can't really help." Nightmare and Midnight said. "So, so far, we have no ideas for getting back home yet." Amanda said. "Can't you hack into stuff?" Jeremiah asked. "Nah, that's Joshua's level of tech." Amanda said.
