"Mommy look, her hair is purple and blue." I heard a little girl whispered to her mom in the hallway as I was leaving mom's apartment.

"Sweetie, don't do that. It's rude to point." Her mom scolded.

"But I didn't say anything bad. I like it, I think it's pretty" The girl responded. "Wow. She has purple hair. It so cool."

I couldn't help but turn to look at them. I wanted to see what this little girl looked like. I turned to see a jet black haired little girl about six or seven years old and her mom.

"Oh, I'm so sorry about her." The lady apologized when she noticed me looking back at them.

"No, it's not a problem." I smiled at them. "I just happened to overheard her saying she likes my hair. Thank you sweetheart."

"Were you born with that hair?" The little girl asked me. "Is that your normal hair color?"

"No, I dyed my hair. My natural hair color is brown." I replied.

"Oh wow. Mommy can I have purple hair too? Please, can I? Can I?" The little girl asked jumping up and down.

"Sweetie, I don't think that'll be a good idea..." The mother tried reasoning with her.

"Well why not?" She whined.

Uh oh. My hair was being somewhat a bad influence to a small toddler.

"When you're old enough like me then you can do any color you want. Even pink." I smiled at her. "You like pink right?"

"Huh uh." She nodded excitedly.

"See, when you're a little older you can get any color you like. " I smiled at her before turning to her mother. "She's a sweet child."

"Thank you," she smiled at me.  "I'm Lisa, by the way. And this is Farrah."

"Amy." I replied. "It's nice meeting you."

"And you. Do you live here as well? It's actually the first time seeing you. Although the complex is huge." Lisa asked me.

"Yeah, I do but my Mon lives down this side." I told her.

"Oh, that's nice. I guess there are a lot of people living here that we haven't met before." Lisa replied.

"That's true." I smiled at her "Maybe I'll see you around again."

"Yeah." She nodded.

"Bye. Bye Farrah." I waved at the little girl who waved back.

I then made my way to Lucas's apartment. The minute I had entered, I could hear footsteps like someone had entered recently.

"Greta?" I called out as I followed the sounds. "Greta, are you here?"

I was starting to wonder why I wasn't hearing anyone answering me when I saw Lucas.

"It's not Greta." He replied.

"Oh, I just thought.... Oh my God Lucas, what happened to you?" I asked in shock walking over to him.

He had a new bruise slowly forming on his jaw -most likely from a punch or something. It was like he had gotten in a fight with someone, but that wasn't what alerted me the most. It was the large growing pool of blood on the lower left side of his shirt. And it was obviously his blood.

"Oh no, you're hurt. You're bleeding." I said slightly panicking as I attempted to touch him.

"I'm fine. What happened was a small issue, it's no longer a problem." He replied turning his back.
