(I’m just going to skip to the Friday that they head back to Hollywood)
~Emily’s POV
We both got up early that morning and started packing all of our things. My makeup, all my newly clean clothes because I took the time to wash mine and Scotty’s, a few pairs of shoes and that’s pretty much it for me. Oh yeah laptop and charger to do my homework. Even though I wasn’t going to school we switched to online so we could graduate on time, which my mom didn’t know about.
I walked downstairs with my suitcase and purse ready to put them into Grant’s vehicle before leaving for the airport. Then my mom and dad came out of the kitchen meeting me at the front door before I could go outside.
Mom: “so you’re just leaving again just like that?”
Me: “Yeah mom but the show only lasts for another week, less depending on what happens.”
Dad: “And what about your school work, you’ve missed far too many days to graduate.”
Me: “See about that our teachers, (mine and Scotty’s) had suggested switching to online school..” Before I could finish my sentence to say it was just for the rest of the semester, they were going ape at me.
Mom: “Why the hell did you do that, without getting our permission, online school looks terrible on college applications. It makes you look lazy and uncaring.” (Which I’m pretty sure it didn’t)
Dad: “Your mother and I just want the best for you, and to make sure you can get into a good college.”
Me: “Yeah I know that, but you didn’t let me finish my sentence, before you both started freaking out on me! I was going to tell you that we are doing online school just until first semester ends, then we will be back in town, long enough to finish high school!”
Mom: “I’m still not happy that you didn’t ask us first.” She said with a little bit of attitude.
Dad: “Next time ask us before you do something like that.”
I just agreed with them to save me from more arguing. I didn’t want them to tell me that I couldn’t go back to Hollywood with Scotty or something.
In Grant’s car on the way to the airport;
Scotty: “Hey what was that all about I never knew Bruce and Julie (my parents) could ever get mad?”
Me: They were just mad that I didn’t tell them about switching to online classes.”
Grant: “If you want my opinion I would be pretty mad too.”
Me: “I know where they’re coming from I just didn’t know they would get that mad.”
Scotty: “At least you have parents that are around for you, mine never even call, and they’ve been away on business for a while now.”
Me: “Well then it’s a good thing you have me to live with.” I said trying to lighten his mood, because we all knew there were going to be fans at the airport.
Once we got there and checked in and put our bags through so they could get put on the plane. Grant brought us to a back room that’s reserved for celebrities. It wasn’t anything amazing just a cozy VIP area so fans couldn’t bother you while you wait for your flight. We had about half an hour until first class boarding and then we were off. Until then Scotty and I just talked about what may happen in this next week.
Scotty: “Do you really think I can win this.”
Me: I put the back of my hand to his forehead as if checking for a fever, “Are you serious? I know you can. Why do you think you can make it?” He smiled.
Scotty:” I really only think Brooke is my only competition, I respect the other two but ya know I doubt they will make it through. “
Me: “See you’re right I bet you and Brooke go to finals and then we see from there.” I didn’t want to get his hopes up, but like I said I just think he has more fans than Brooke does.
-Announcement: Flight 693 to Hollywood’s first class section is now boarding.-
I took the window seat in our row and Scotty settled in next to me and Grant on the outside. There was a five hour flight ahead of with layover in Oklahoma. I thought about sleeping but decided on working on a homework assignment for school. I had this paper to write about who you look up to. I honestly wanted to say my parents but you know what, I’m gunna write it about Scotty. How he’s always strong and how he still hasn’t let the fame and fortune get to his head. It took me only about an hour and half to write it. Afterwards I logged onto my Netflix account and settled on watching Abduction, starring no other than Taylor Lautner. I gave Scotty one of my ear buds and we both watched it.
-About another hour and half later (3 hours into the flight)-
“We are now landing for Oklahoma with a 45 minute layover before getting to Hollywood.”
I guess some people were getting off and they had to clean that section before more people boarded. I decided to get up and use the plane’s bathroom. I hated using it while flying because I didn’t want to hit turbulence or something and like fall over and get stared at when I get out…
I got back about 15 minutes later because some other people had the same fear as me and there was a little bit of a line. I head back to our row and guess who’s standing in the aisle talking to Scotty? No other than Brooke, of course she lives in Oklahoma.
Brooke: “Emily, how was your guy’s vacation?” Then she hugged me and I made a face over her shoulder and Scotty and Grant were trying not to laugh.
Me: “Great how about you,” Even though I really don’t care.
Brooke: “Mine was fabulous I never knew I have as many fans as I do.” I bet she was saying that just to scare us. I checked how many people were following her on twitter, not even 1M, when Scotty has 1.4M and he’s verified. We’re fine.
Me: “Well better get to our seats,” I was using that as an excuse to end this conversation. She looked up and pointed out that her seat was right next to Scotty, where mine was. What that’s not right. I took out my ticket and it said that was my seat. I waved down a flight attendant and she said there was a mix up. She sent Brooke to a seat in the back of coach. HAHAHAHAHAHA!
Attendant:” Her ticket is to Hollywood from North Carolina, so she was here first, and our only empty seat is in coach. We will send someone to make sure no one bothers you up there, ma’am.”
Brooke walked off scoffing, with the little bit of pride that she had left, and once she was out of range I laughed so hard.
Me: “Ohmygod that’s priceless!”
Scotty: was still laughing and then he said “I know right.”
For the last leg of the flight we took a nap because they wanted everyone at the studio as soon as they landed. There’s a surprise for them, I wonder what that could be about?
I guess that’s for them to know and for us to find out.
