A.N. Guys that concert I went to last Thursday night was freakin' amazing! We got there nice and early and were able to get in the second row of people in the pit, so I could touch the stage! Oh and guess what I got a high five from Jason Aldean!!!!!!!! lol Okay here's the chapter. Enjoy!

~Mrs. Yackanin (US History Teacher’s) POV

I don’t like teaching seniors because they are the laziest of all of the high school grades. When we get to about now, the beginning of their second semester, they shut down and refuse to do any lengthy assignments. It’s what they are calling Senioritis. I sat down at my computer to take attendance and that’s when Emily Lynch walked in late with two iced coffees, great way to start off your semester. She sat down next to Scotty McCreery, the kid that just won American Idol, shouldn’t he be doing music stuff, why’s he back in school. Oh and his security guard or whatever they’re calling him, was standing at the back of the room, acting like he’d been there before, weird.

I took their attendance and gave them their books, but agreed that they could keep them in the room, because yes those books are stupidly heavy. I try to be a cool teacher as often as possible because I used to hate history class, but now I’m teaching it look how the tables have turned. I didn’t bother giving them a lecture I just said they need their parent signature on the last paper, because no one reads these papers either.

~Emily’s POV

I thought mine and Scotty’s teacher was going to be mad at me for being late, but she seemed pretty cool. She had said don’t bother reading the papers just get the parent signature at the end. We got our huge books and by then we still had an hour of class left and nothing to do. That still doesn’t change the way I feel about history.

That last hour dragged on and on. She didn’t even bother teaching us anything because she knew we weren’t going to listen. She dismissed the class five minutes early. Scotty and I took our time and went to our locker, which we now share, and went to wait in the lobby to be the first ones out to the student parking lot.

The music played and we were already out the front door, first ones outside and out of the lot. Our school can’t seem to figure out an easy way to get all of the traffic out quickly. We have one pick up/ drop off circle in the back, right next to the student parking lot. This circle has the busses and parents getting their kids. When leaving the circle the only exit is shared by the only exit for the student lot. So if you’re not out to your car fairly quickly it’s not even worth leaving until 3, when all of the traffic is gone, because it’s pointless to idol.

~Scotty’s POV

S: “How was my girl’s day?”

E: She smiled at me and said, “Great but I don’t like English or Chemistry. How about you?”

S: “I agree with the English class, but we both have a pretty sucky last semester huh?”

E: “I can’t agree with you more.”

S: “Wanna come see the studio with me, or I can drop you at home?”

E: “Yeah I’ll come if you don’t mind.”

S: “I’d love if you came with me,” I raised my arm and patted the seat next to me, and Em scooted over and snuggled into my side.

We drove following Grant to the studio just north of Garner. I cranked some Florida Georgia Line in the truck on the way there. Em and jammed out to their song Party People. She said she’d always wanted to see them and it’s her lucky day because FGL, Jason Aldean, and Tyler Farr are coming here next week, and I may or may not have connections for tickets and back stage passes, and possibly a surprise appearance. But right now I really wanted to write a memorial song for tomorrow’s ceremony. Hell I’m just gunna by Em a ring instead of my Great Grams, hers was too shiny for Em anyways, maybe even propose at the ceremony.

We got to the studio and they walked us through everything. Em was asked to wait outside, but that was because I had asked them to have her stay in the lobby, because this song is a secret to her. We ended up coming up with the song “Clear as Day.” Now I just have to learn the notes on guitar and I’ll do it acoustic at the ceremony tomorrow, and then propose in front of all of Em’s family. Damn, I almost forgot to ask Mr. Lynch’s permission, definitely gotta do that tonight. I’ve got a million things to do and I’m running outta time. Ring, get permission, practice the song, homework, and get some sleep somehow.
