~Scotty’s POV
That evening after getting home from the studio everyone piled into separate vehicles to head to the church just up the road. Tonight is Travis’s one year memorial ceremony.
Everything went well, no excessive amounts of tears, just what would be expected. I sang my new song and then the ceremony began. The Lynch family called it The Celebration of Life. There was a beautiful slideshow of the family, including some old baby pictures, as always. The whole time I kept my arm around Em as she sat next to me in the pew trying her best not to cry, and I would just sit there and think about how in a few months she’ll hopefully say yes to walk down this same isle to marry me.
When the ceremony was over I took Emily out for milkshakes and fries at our favorite diner a few blocks up. As kids we all used to walk here and do the same thing almost every summer, like a tradition.
This time I was clever, as Em got up to use the restroom, I got a hold of our waitress and was able to put the ring on the straw to our milkshake, hopefully this works. Emily got back and our food was brought over, I started a normal conversation about my music career, as Em picked up the straw to stir the milkshake. Then she saw it, bingo! Curiously she took it off the straw and didn’t notice when I knelt on the floor next to her.
“Emily Lynch will you marry me?”
She was so gorgeous the way she covered her face and started crying happy tears and nodded over her sobs. By then the whole restaurant had turned around and there was a round of applause, including from our waitress and the kitchen staff. I hugged her so tightly until she whispered ‘Can’t breathe,’ in my ear.
~Emily’s POV
OMG OMG OMG OMG! Scotty really did just propose to me! AHHHHHH haha! And he got permission from my parent’s aww like no one does that anymore, unless they really do care, just aww!
~Scotty’s POV
Next stop home so Em could show off her new jewelry. We walked in the door and her face was still a little puffy from crying and Julie walked over giving her hug, asking if she’s alright. Still speechless Emily showed her right hand to her mother. They both shrieked and were jumping up and down. As Bruce and I watch from a distance. When Bruce said to me;
B: “So where’d you propose?”
S: “The diner we used to all go to as kids.”
B: “Good choice, Son.”
Wow that son tittle is gunna take a lot to get used to. Tomorrow was going to be a busy day, because we have school, I’m going to the studio afterwards, and Em and Julie are starting wedding planning. I’ll just use the studio as my escape from color swatches.

A.N. I'm really sorry for these chapters being so short, but I wanted to give you guys something! I've been really tired ever since my first blood donation yesterday. I was fine thru the whole thing up until they had me eat a snack and drink apple juice, I got really light headed and said I didn't feel good. Almost all of the nurses came over and I was wheeled over to a cot to lie down, in order to get color back to my face. I didn't actually pass out, which was good, and they say it happens to all first time donors.. but yeah back to the chapter...
They're officially engaged guys!! I think I'm going to end it with a happily ever after, once they get married. I'm still thinking about starting another book, possibly with Hunter Hayes... any ideas, leave them in the comments for me ;D
