Chapter 38
Livvy's POV
Bring!
I hear my phone go off and see that there is a message in the group chat.
Mads: Beach day anyone?
Angel: Hellllzzzzz yes! In desperate need of girl time, Travis is like super needy.
Kris: Who is Travis? Your new flavour of the week? But ya totally in.
Angel: Not my flavour of the week, my new boyfriend, tyvm
Talia: I'll be there! But what happened to Greg?
Angel: He liked working out too much.
Alex: You always find a reason to get a new boy ;p plan sounds good to me.
Livvy: Meet at 3?? Pinkoak beach?
Mads: Sounds good, see you girls there.
I put my phone down and walk over to my dresser. I look through my bathing suit drawer and find my new purple bikini top with frills on the front and a braided back. I find the matching bottoms and put them on. I throw on a pair of jean shorts and a white lacy top that you can perfectly see my bathing suit through. I throw some stuff into my beach bag, grab my keys and drive to the beach since it is already 2:53.
I get there and see that my friends have already arrived and are waiting for me like usual. We go to our usual spot at the end of the beach that has a nice sunny spot for when we like to tan. We drop our stuff, take off our top layers and run into the water. We have a fun afternoon filled with us being super goofy and taking a lot of pictures, since our last year of high school is almost over.
I don't know what I would have done these past four years if I didn't have these girls by my side. I know that we can get up in each others faces sometimes and have differences but we're always there for each other and always have one anothers back. We've been through a lot together and I'm super happy to say that these girls are my best friends.
Soon enough our fun beach day is over and we have to go home. I say bye to my girls and drive home. I get home and notice that my parents car isn't there meaning that they probably went out for dinner or a movie or something meaning that I have the house to myself all night. I consider texting Jacob but decide not to.
I walk into the house and throw my stuff on the floor in the front hallway. I walk into the kitchen and go into the fridge to grab something to eat. I walk over to the island and notice a note written on a piece of paper.
Go check out your room.
I obey the paper and walk upstairs and to the end of the hallway where I find my room. I walk in and see rose petals on the floor and on my bed. All around my room there are vanilla scented candles making my room smell absolutely amazing. I also hear music playing in the background. This is the most romantic thing anyone has ever done for me. I walk into my room and sit on my bed examining the area. Out of nowhere Jacob walks in, in a tux, holding a bouquet of red roses, which he knows are my favorite flowers.
"Livvy, will you go to prom with me?" He asks and I can't help but have the biggest smile plastered on my face.
"Of course I will!" I exclaim and get up to give him a big hug and kiss.
"Good because I don't know what I would have done if you had said no."
"Did you ever doubt that I would say yes?" I ask him.
"I wasn't totally sure after everything I've put you through this year."
"Jacob, we agreed not to talk about what happened this year, remember."
"I know, but I just hope you know that I will never stop being sorry for what happened."
"Well Jacob, I forgive you." I tell him and give him a big kiss.
"You don't understand how much I appreciate that Livvy." He says and gives me another kiss.
