Chapter 3

Jacob's POV

She looked broken when I gave her the mail yesterday. Almost like she expected me to say something nice to her. We aren't friends anymore and I don't think anything is going to change that. I have Karman, my girlfriend, and Issac, my best friend. They were the ones who convinced me to ditch Livvy and I think it was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I sit behind her in English class and I know that bugs her. I've known her long enough to know her different reactions to things, and it's easy to tell when she is upset or bugged by something.

I get to my lunch table and see that Elaina, Owen, and Vanessa are already there. Karman, Issac and I sit down and soon Dustin, Christina, Joey, Lori, Lindsey, and join us. We are soon all talking and enjoying our lunch break. We are probably one of the loudest tables in the whole cafeteria, but we don't care about any judgemental stares we get.

"Where did you disappear to for a few minutes yesterday?" Karman asks me.

"Mom wanted me to bring mail over to the neighbor's house. They keep messing it up." I tell her honestly.

"Wait your neighbor Olivia?" Beau asks confused.

"Ya, you think they would learn after 17 years, almost 18 years of messing it up, but nope, they still constantly mess it up." I explain.

"Wanna know what you should do to her?" Christina says in a devilish voice.

"You guys have been planning something haven't you?" I ask my friends.

"We may have been planning a little something." Lori says in her voice that tells you something is up.

"Ok so tell me what the evil genius plan is." I tell them.

"Ok so that girl Olivia, you were childhood best friends right?" Joey asks and I nod. "Well childhood friends will always have a small place in our heart."

"What are you trying to get at?"

"We all dare you to make her fall in love with you." Elaina says.

"And then you break her heart, in front of the whole school." Karman says with her devilish grin.

A debate is going on in my mind. Although we aren't friends anymore, she will always be my childhood friend, but that's it. She will never be more than a childhood friend to me. If I don't do it I will never hear the end of it. Ya those people are the people I choose to be friends with, but they are great.

"I'll do it!" I say and they all cheer causing many people to turn towards us, Livvy included.

What's to come is going to be fun!
