Two hours later ~

"Hey Jasmine!" Kira yelled across the hall to me. She rushed past a load of people to catch up to me, resting her arm on my shoulder when she reached me. "Do you have maths now?" She asked. I just nodded at her. "Good, apparently the teacher is super hot. Mr Iero or something." She said, pronouncing his name wrong. My stomach flipped at his name. "Oh yeah I saw him! He looks pretty hot." I replied, not necessarily lying. We walked into the school building and walked up the stairs to our new Maths class. The door was already open and a few people already sitting down. I walked in, my arm linked with Kira's. We walked in and saw our group of friends already sitting at the back of the room with two spare seats for us. Roughly five minutes later, everyone else started pouring in as well as Mr Iero. He was wearing a dark, midnight blue coloured shirt and a dark grey tie with a slight pattern. "Good afternoon class, all of you can shut up right now unless you want to fail this class, understood?" He waited for a few of us to nod before he picked up a board marker, writing his name on the board. "My name is Mr Iero, I will not accept anything else other than that for the time being. Now let's go over some rules shall we?" He said with a sarcastic smile. After 30 minutes or so he had gone over his rules and expectations of us as a class, once he had finished he walked over to the door and opened it. "If any of you have a problem with my way of teaching or handling my students behaviour, I'm more than happy to watch you walk out of here, it doesn't make a difference to my paycheck every month." With every word he said I became more and more interested. He seemed so powerful, I couldn't take my eyes off him, I lingered on each word he spoke-

"Christ, he's so boring!" Kira said to herself, rolling her eyes. I realised I wouldn't be allowed to say anything good about him, but I was only pretending to dislike him. There was something about him that just felt like he wasn't an average guy, there was something more to him that that...

"Look, I know none of you care about math, but if you have it, it looks better for job applications, college applications and believe it or not. You do need basic math in every day life. I'm more than happy to put in the time to help you all in lessons with whatever work you need help with. And I'm happy to put in the effort outside of school as well, as long as you are too." Dammit, does this mean I'd have to dumb myself down to get more time with Mr Iero? If that's what it takes then I'm down for it. "I will tolerate laziness in lessons, as long as it isn't every lesson. I understand everyone has days where they would rather be anywhere else than in a classroom, but you're stuck in here, so I'll cut you some slack. You must understand that the way I work is not like any teachers in this school, or any school. I find that special student with a talent, and I keep them close by, to ensure they know how amazing they are." Just as he finished talking the bell went to signify the end of the lesson. "Class dismissed." He spoke, heading over to his computer and closing it down, We all packed up our books and began to leave. "Woahh, not you, Miss." He said just as I was heading out of the room, not even looking up from his desk. "We'll wait for you." Kira said, I smiled at her and turned back round to face Mr Iero. "Yes Sir?" I asked, smiling at him. He nodded at the seat closest to his desk for me to sit down, I did as he instructed and sat facing him. "So what are your first impressions of me?" He asked. I looked at him with a confused expression on my face, he stared at me with his shark-like eyes once again. "I think you have a very interesting view of your job, I find you engaging. I'm sure you're going to be a great teacher." I told him.
He sat back in his chair and stared at me again, this time it wasn't just directly into my eyes, his eyes darted all around my face and all over my body. "Congratulations, I've got my eye on you. You're the student I'm going to be watching closely for the next year, I'm going to be making an example out of you, one wrong move and you will be punished, do you understand me?"
"Yes Sir, 100%" I agreed. He nodded at me and dismissed me.
