The party continued, To think that some of us have classes tomorrow. The host called me up on the stage to give everyone a thank you.
"Everyone! Thank you for coming in my party. As you all know, i really don't know that i have a party. All that i know is that i have photo shoot." I heard laughter coming from the guests.
"Well thank you to my family, my friends and everyone here. For all the expensive gifts that i received from all of you and now that i'm engaged with that man." As i pointed to Jason
"So i'm expecting more gifts from all of you in my wedding."Tthey all laughed with what i've said
"Ohh guys. I'm just kidding! Anyway without my parents and that man, this was nothing. Just to tell you, yesterday i received a house, three bouquets of white roses, i don't know how many paper bags of signature products, then this ring.." I waved my right hand to them.
"All of this came from Jason. If i have time to tell you what tricks did he do to make me surprise with all of this, well you better be ready with a tissue.." I said. I looked at Jason and he smiled to me.
"Baby.. Thank you for everything. You know what i mean. Mom, Dad, Mom Lucy, thanks to all of you. This day has been the best to me. Again thank you everyone. Thank you." I said then got down from the stage.
Some of my friends were drunk now and it's now ten in the evening.
"Honey. We're leaving now. Congratulations again." Mom said. We are now at the table discussing everything.
"Mom.. Dad.. Thanks again." I hugged them and that made me cry. I don't know why i am crying. I was so happy.
"Steph. Don't cry. We're happy about your decision." Dad said while rubbing my back. Jason was still talking to his friends on the other table. Few congratulated us. They knew that we're only seventeen but we're not planning to get married soon.
"Dad. I'm so happy with this. Thank you so much." I mumbled
"Mom. Thank you for everything." I hugged Mom.
"Honey. Be home after the party okay? You have classes tomorrow." Mom said
"Yes Mom. Thank you again." I smiled
"Stop thanking us. Now call your fiancèe, so that we can say our goodbye to him." Dad said. I waved my hands to Jason and mouthed him to come.
"Jason, we're leaving. Just drop Steph at the house. Don't drink too much." My mom said. Jason wrapped his arms around my tiny waist.
"Yes mom. We'll be leaving after this." Jason said. We kissed them then they made their way outside of the function room.
"Honey. Evelyn already collected all the gifts. I let her bring all the gifts to your house." Lucy said. Jason still snaked his arms around me.
"Mom. Thank you." I hugged her then i was now crying on her shoulder
"Honey. Stop crying. You cried on your parents a while ago, now on me? Really Steph huhh?" Lucy said. Jason released me from his hold since i hugged Lucy. They've been so good to me.
"Mom you made my fiancèe cry. What have you done?" Jason teased.
"You silly. Come on. Let's go home now." Lucy said. I released from the hug then wiped the tears on my cheeks.
"I'm just going to say goodbye to them. Wait me at the reception." I said. I didn't wait for their response, i walked towards everyone and said my goodbye to them. They still congratulate me. I made my way to the lobby area of the hotel.
