After that night, everything changed. Jason let Alistaire stay with me at my family's house. He always said that he has school works to deal with and i can't argue with that, school is important. He didn't picked me up at school for two days. He just text me, nothing else. He visits Alistaire at our house whenever i'm not around. It's making me sick that his acting strange now, knowing that i didn't do anything to him.
Today is Alistaire's birthday, it's nearly two o' clock now and the party will start at four. Jason was still not here, i called and texted him many times, but still no response from him. Lucy didn't know where Jason is going for the past two days. I don't like to put in my mind that his cheating on me. His not, right?
"Mom, while we are waiting. I can grab some coffee from the coffee shop, do you want some?" I asked Mom and Lucy. We are all sitting at the living room, while waiting for Jason. They are all dressed and Alistaire was really excited for her party. But i put her first to bed, i know that she will give all of her energy to her party later on. I was still on my jeans and sleeveless top, cause i'm still busy with the decorations and other stuffs. You know a hands on Mom? I laughed on that. The planner did well on the theme and set up of the party. It really looked like under the sea party.
"If it's okay to you honey." Mom said as she keeps on checking her phone.
"Yes. Just watch out for Alistaire. She might be awake later on." They nodded. I get up from the couch then grabbed my bag. I quickly jumped inside my car and started to drive.
I can see the coffee shop now. Upon parking in the space, i saw a very familar sports car; it's Jason's car. What is he doing here? Before i park my car, i glanced inside the shop to spot where my fiancè is. His there, busy talking with a girl. A girl that looks good and very sophisticated. They are laughing on something that i really don't know because i'm not hearing it. They looked so comfortable with each other. So his cheating on me? That's why his acting strange? I pulled out the driveway then drive on the main road. I don't know where i am going, but i don't want to see him. I stopped on the park near our village then try to sink in everything that's happening now. Remembering that it's Alistaire's party, i get my phone from my bag and started to text my Mom.
Mom. I saw him at the coffee shop, his with another girl. I don't know where i am going but please take care of Alistaire. Let her be happy for this party. I don't want to face him today. Just tell Alistaire that i just buy gifts for her. When Jason look for me, tell him everything that i said. Sorry Mom. Sorry :( --Stephanie
I turned off my phone after texting my Mom. I started to drive again. I don't know where to go. I turned off the tracker of my car. I drive and drive. I continue to drive the no where road for me. My tears that wasn't stopping falling from my eyes. I don't know what to do. I can feel that i'm getting hungry now. Glancing at my watch it's now past six in the evening. I drive that long? I looked outside my window's car. I am now near at the beach that we stayed on last vacation? I don't know how did i get here.
I parked my car on the space and stepped inside our hotel.
"Can you call Manager Strands?" I asked the receptionist. She's busy putting make ups on her face. Is she new here that she don't know me?
"Sorry Mam. But she's busy now." This blonde receptionist told me without looking at me.
"Call her! Just tell her that i'm Stephanie Lim! Daughter of the owner of this hotel that you are working at!" I almost shouted and she quickly put away all her make up then sit straight as she heard what i said.
"Sorry Mam. Sorry." She quickly dialled on the phone and looked for Manager Strands. Within a minute Manager Strands arrive, i told her that i'll be staying here until tomorrow and i told her also that don't tell to anybody that i am here.
"And Manager Strands.." I said as i get up from the lounge seat then made my way to the receptionist.
"Give this lady a briefing on how to greet the customers politely. And not putting make up while working." I snapped. Manager Strands nodded then quickly approached the receptionist. I made my way to the elevator then went to my single suite.
I have no things here. Nothing. I just have my bag and myself. I launch myself in the bed then make myself comfortable.
I miss him. I miss Alistaire. I hope she's happy with the party. I glanced at my watch it's near eight o' clock now. I turned on my phone and turned off the device that they can tracked me. I received many messages from Mom, Lucy, Pauleen, Joyce and him. My bestfriends attended Alistaire party, that's why they know that i'm missing. I dialled my Mom's number and she quickly answer it.
"Stephanie! Where are you? I'm so worried about you!" My mom cried. I heard Lucy shouted saying that i'm on the phone.
"I'm okay Mom. How was Alistaire? Did she enjoy the party?" I said between my tears. Mom shouted at Lea, to bring Alistaire to her.
"Everything went well. Alistaire's looking for you and Jason's looking for you too. I told him the things you knew." Mom slowly said. I heard Alistaire calling me over the phone.
"Mom can i talk to Alistaire?" I asked. Tears continue to fall from my eyes. I miss Alistaire.
"Mommy! Where are you?" Alistaire asked. I continue to cry. My gosh. Why did he cheat on me? Knowing that he promise this thing to me that he won't cheat on me. I didn't see my baby on her party.
"Mommy will just buy many gifts for my princess. Did you enjoy the party honey?" I reach for the tissue box then wiped my tears. I heard Jason's voice over the phone. I think i'm on a loud speaker.
"Yes. I have many gifts Mommy! They put it in your room." She said happily. I continue to cry and all i can hear from my phone was Alistaire's voice. Maybe the people around her was just listening to me.
"We'll open that when Mommy go home. I miss you honey." I simply said. My gosh, i really can't stop my tears!! I want to punch his face for cheating on me. This is the day the day that i've been waiting for, Alistaire's third birthday. I want to see how she make friends. How she play with the games. How she show her smile to everybody. He just ruined it.
"I miss you Mommy. Please go home now." She begged. Jason was whispering something to her.
"Mommy will be home soon, but not now honey." I said between my sobs.
"Mommy where are you? Daddy can fetch you there." She simply said. I stop crying when she said those.
"I can go home by myself. Just look for yourself honey, while Mommy is not there." I said. I want to see Alistaire. I really miss her.
"Mommy, please? I want to go to you. Please." Alistaire was crying now over the phone. If i can just hug you honey, i mumbled to myself
"Love you honey. I love you. You know that? Stop crying." I begged. If i can touch her face to wipe her tears away. It's all Jason's fault.
"Mommy.. Please.. Mommy.." She continued to cry. I heard Mom get the phone from her as Jason comforts her, i think.
"Stephanie. Where are you?" Mom asked. I continue to sob and cry.
"Mom. I'll be home soon. Just watch out for Alistaire." I sadly said.
"Please, we're going there. Where are you?" Mom begged. I really don't like to face him so i'm not going home tonight.
"Mom can you call the Uni? Tell them that i can't attend my classes tomorrow.." I said as i heard my mom that was crying now.
"And mom.. Remove everything that belongs to Jason in my room. Just leave Alistaire's things." I continued. Tears not stopping from my eyes. I heard Lucy now shouting at Jason and that made Alistaire cry loud and harder.
"Steph.. Don't do this! And let me explain." Jason shouted over the phone. I continue to cry and cover myself under the comforter.
"Mom. I'll be home tomorrow. Don't worry. Please just make sure that his things was not on my room when i arrive tomorrow." I simply said. Loud cry over the phone is what i am hearing.
"Alright. Just be safe Stephanie. Please." Mom simply said.
"Mom can you call Lucy?" I asked. I heard that she pass the phone to Lucy and Alistaire was still crying.
"Stephanie. I'm sorry for this." Lucy mumbled and sobbed.
"Mom don't be sorry. It's not your fault. I'll be home tomorrow, don't worry." I said between my tears.
"Mom. Cancel the adoption papers. I will not let Alistaire suffer seeing Jason cheating on me. I can adopt her alone, even without him." I said as i continue. Jason was really crying hard, i'm hearing it.
"Stephanie. Fix this please." Lucy begged
"I don't know. But this is my decision now. And Mom tell him that if something will came out because of what we did last time, don't worry i let him know." I simply said. I'm so open with them in everything. I don't care if they are all hearing it, but this is the truth. We didn't use protection when we have sex, so maybe it will turn out to be a pregnancy.
"My gosh Stephanie. You already did it?" Lucy exclaimed. I heard my Mom squealed happily.
"Well i hope it will not turn out to pregnancy Mom. I don't want my child to suffer and look for his father." I laughed sarcastically. I heard Jason groaned and Alistaire has stopped on her crying moments.
"Shut up Stephanie. Be home now. Don't get us worried." Mom shouted. I wiped my tears but i still continue to cry.
"Mom. Just tell to Alistaire that i'll be home tomorrow. Remember what i said, remove his things please." I begged.
"Stephanie let him explain. Okay? You will talk tomorrow. Just rest wherever you are." Lucy said. I can feel the lightness on myself. Hearing my Alistaire, my Mom and Lucy, helped me a little.
"See you tomorrow Mom. Love you. Alistaire, if you're hearing Mommy, i love you honey and don't leave mommy. Okay?" I heard her saying 'yes mommy'
"Don't leave me like someone did to Mommy. Love you honey. Mom.. I need to go. Sorry for this and see you tomorrow." Then i hung up. I laid back on the bed then started crying again.
Am i really born to be unloved? I sighed to myself. I cried and cried. I gave up everything on him. All my firsts was on him. We kissed. We hugged. We had sex. I don't know what came up to his mind to cheat on me. But i don't know if he actually cheated on me, cause i saw him with another girl doesn't mean that he cheated on me. His acting strange that's why i said to myself that his cheating. I tucked myself under the covers. I continue to cry and let myself drift into my sleep that i really wanted.
