It was the day of the party and Michael and I was getting everything set up while Ella and Ashton were dressing the kids. We were having the party outside and it was a Cars themed party, because the twins love the movie. We set up a few tables around, a table for food, and the candy bar table. I stepped back and looked at the yard, it looked great. Tables decorated with Lighting McQueen and Mater table cloths, balloons tied to random places.

“Great job, boss,” Michael said flinging his arm over my shoulder. Michael and I have become pretty close, out of all the boys I’m the closest to him, and he’s like a brother.

“You too, Mikey,” I say giving him a quick hug, “the party is going to start soon, I’m going to go change,” I say opening the door and walking inside, him close behind

“Can I come?” he asks I turn around and he winks at me. I laugh and keep walking up the stairs, “You didn’t say no, so can I come?” He ask

“No, Michael!” I yell back at him. He glares at me playfully and I laugh walking into my room. I walk into my closet carefully eyeing all my clothes.

“Ella!” I yell walking out of my room and into the twins where Ella and Ashton are finishing dressing the kids.

“What, Aria?” She asks in a fake annoyed tone

“I can’t find anything to wear, and I need your help!” I groan. She smiles and stands up, handing Brynlee some shoes and walking out of the room with me.

“I can’t find anything either,” she sighs as we step into my room and over to the closet.

“This is cute,” she says handing me a white crop top, I look over at her.

“My grandma is going to be there, El,” I say, she nods

“Ah, right, what about this? It’s modest,” she says picking up a peach tie in the front top. I nod and toss it out of the closet on the bed. Then grabbing some jean shorts and brown wedges with a fuzzy cuff, Ella grabs a high low orange dress, that has spaghetti straps and some brown sandal wedges.

“Aria, people are starting to show up,” Ashton informs me wrapping his arms around me. I turn around, our faces only centimeters apart. He leaves a small kiss on my lips then pulling back. I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him in for a kiss, our mouths molding together like an ancient art piece and I pull back, out of his grasp

“You’ve been drinking,” I say quietly. Ashton sighs stepping towards me. I shake my head moving away from him

“Baby, listen,” he pleads, I look up at him his eyes begging to let him explain and I shake my head.

“No, we don’t have time. People are starting to show up, we’ll talk about it later.” I say walking out of the room. I have to put on a fake smile, act as if my boyfriend isn’t an alcoholic and as if he isn’t starting to drink again. I know it’s only been a week, but it’s been a week. He could’ve drank without me knowing, hiding it somewhere and taking a drink at night after I went to bed. After I’d gone to sleep, he’s getting his drink on. I’m so naïve, thinking that he’d actually stop. I sigh walking down the stairs and plastering on a fake smile that I’ve used way too much.

“Hey, Rian,” I smile at her stepping outside, she squeals walking away from the candy bar and over to me. I wrap my arms around her and hug her.

“Mikey should be in the house or out here somewhere,” I smile at her pulling out of the hug.

“We, um, aren’t going out anymore,” she says and I gasp loudly

“What? Why didn’t you tell me?” I ask her
