*10 Years Earlier*
It's been a year since I graduated high school. Now I need to go to college. I was one of the few people who took a year off of school. My friend Ryan didn't but he's going to a college near home. I haven't told him yet but I got a letter from the college I've been wanting to get into to. I was accepted. The thing is.. It's out of state for sure. Me and Ryan have always been close. He's my best friend... He doesn't know it...but I love him...more than a friend. He won't know either because I'm leaving next week. It's gonna be hard to keep in touch.. I just hope we do. "Jay? You alright?"I hear Ryan ask and I sigh as he runs his hand through my hair. "I need to tell you something"I whisper and he looks at me confused. "I got accepted into the college I wanted to go to"I say quietly and he smiles. "That's great!"he exclaims and I shake my head. "It's out of state Ry"I whisper and his face falls. "Oh"he whispers as he looks everywhere but at me. "Look at me.. Please"I beg and he looks at me. "I'm happy for you"he whispers and I wrap my arms around him before sitting on his lap. "I'm sorry Ry"I whisper and he gently squeezes me. "I love you Jay"he mumbles kissing my head. "I love you too Ryan"more than you'll ever know.
*Present time*
Not even a year after I left we stopped talking. It hurt so much.. "Ohm!"I hear a guy yell and my head snaps up. There was the guy that looked like Ryan and an Asian guy running towards him. "Evan! You can't call me that in public"The guy laughs and the Asian one, who I'm assuming is Evan, laughs too. "Sorry Ryan"he says and I freeze. Ryan.. He's changed... I feel someone bump into me and I fall over hitting my head on the way down. "Oh shit! Are you okay?"I hear the familiar voice ask. I look up at him and stare into his hazel eyes. "I.. I'm fine"I whisper trying to move further away from him. "Your head is bleeding, here let me help you"he says before pulling me up. "Thanks Ry-"I cut myself off and my eyes widen. His widen too. "How do you know my name?"he asks and I sigh. "Hey Ry, it's upsetting you don't remember me"I say forcing a laugh and wincing when my head starts to hurt. "Jay?"he mumbles and I nod. He wraps his arms around me and smiles. "It's been so long! How have you been?"he asks and I chuckle. "Let's sit down first"I say as I sit on the nearest bench. He sits next to me and I notice his friend sit next to him. "I've been okay I guess, I graduated college and became a teacher. I was teaching in Cali but decided to come back here. I don't have a job at the moment. I'm still a loner and yea that's about it"I laugh and he smiles at me. "Well I graduated but I became something that doesn't require college, a youtuber. I'm doing pretty decent. More than a million subscribers and I've had a couple girlfriends but it didn't really work out so I'm a loner too"he chuckles and I nod. "Well I'm glad you're doing alright"I mumble as I look at my feet. I feel my stomach fill with butterflies like it used to when we were younger and I bite my lip. "Um Evan this is Jay, my childhood friend. Jay this is Evan or better known as Vanoss Gaming, he's one of my best friends"Ryan says as he points to me and Evan. "Hi Evan, it's nice to meet you. I've watched a couple of your videos"I smile and he smiles back. "Hey Jay, Ryan has told me so much about you. I feel like I already know you"he chuckles making my face heat up. I look at Ryan to see his cheeks were a light pink color.
*4 months later*
"Ryaaannn"I whine as I jump on top of him. "Jay I'm trying to sleep"he groans making me giggle and jump on him more. He grabs my waist and pulls me down onto the bed next to him. He wraps his arms around me and pulls me to his chest. "Ry-""sssshhh sleep"he mumbles cutting me off. I just chuckle and try to escape his grasp. After a while of trying I give up. I feel the butterflies going crazy in my stomach as I cuddle up to him. "See it wasn't that hard, now was it?"he chuckles and I just bury my head in his chest. He kisses my head and I feel my face heat up. "Jay? Can I tell you something?"he mumbles and I nod before looking at him. He bites his lip and sucks in a sharp breath. "I love you"he says and I smile. "I love you too Ry"I say smiling up at him. He sighs and runs a hand through his hair before standing up. "No Jay, like I don't just love you as a friend. I've always loved you as more than a friend. I'm in love with you"he sighs as he puts his hands over his face. I stand up placing one hand on his chest and one on his face. "I know, I love you too"I whisper and he moves his hands. I lean up and press my lips against his. He grabs my waist and smiles before kissing back. When we pull away I smile up at him.
