Chapter 25 - Unexpected turn

*HALEY'S POV*

"Does this look alright?" I ask Katie, stepping out of my bathroom wearing a white, skin tight dress with gold zips on either side.

"Wow. You look amazing" Katie breaths, staring at me

"You sure?" I say unsurely

"Definitely" Katie nods.

"Thanks" I blush

"Now go change, I want to see your dress!" I gently push Katie into the bathroom and she chuckles as she closes the door

A few minutes later, Katie emerges wearing a black strapless dress that goes down about mid thigh and is skin tight, like mine.

"That dress is so cute. You look beautiful!" I tell Katie, she blushes and smiles "Thanks Hales"

"Wait, what time is it?" I ask after a few minutes of straightening my hair

"It's 6:50" Katie answers, glancing down at her phone which rests on my table while she puts on some earrings.

"Okay. I have 10 minutes to finish doing my hair and make up" I say, frantically

"Here. Let me help you, I'm finished anyway" Katie says while she steps into her black heels

"Thank you!" I say, smiling widely.

"Ok, let me straighten your hair at the back and you do your make up. Okay?"

"Sounds good" I say, picking up my bag and pulling out my make up.

"Katie! Hurry up!" Jake whines from downstairs just as we close my room door and begin walking down the stairs.

"Finall- Wow, looking good girls" Jake says, eyeing Katie up and down and reaching for her hand as she steps off the last step, pulling her into his body and biting his lip.

Deciding I don't want to see anymore of what's going to happen, I quietly make my way to the front door, slipping out and sitting on the front step.

I check the time which reads 6:59pm, Dylan should be here any minute and I don't have to watch my brother make out with Katie.

Just as Jake and Katie exit the house, Dylan pulls up into the driveway, wearing a plain black t-shirt and skinny jeans, he still manages to look amazing.

"Hey" he waves, helping me up off the step.

"Hey man" he nods at Jake and smiles at Katie

"I'll see you at the party" I tell Katie and Jake and get into Dylan's car.

He turns on the radio and starts the car.

"Oh, shit. I need to get some gas, is it alright if we make a quick stop off?"

"Sure"

Dylan turns the car around, heading to the gas station.

"Thanks again for coming with me tonight. It would've been so boring if you didn't come"

"No problem" he chuckles lightly

"Amy's house is really massive" I breath, looking at the house as Dylan parks his car in a safe spot.

We both get out and begin heading over to the almost mansion.

I have trouble spotting Katie and Jake but I do see some familiar faces, Paddy and Ella being some of them
