(Chapter 2)

*Alyssa's POV*
I awoke with a throbbing headache and pain almost all over my body. "Ah, Finally" A deep voice called. I fully awoke and pushed myseld up with a groan as I tried to process my surroundings. I was in my room and on my bed, there was a boy that looked only a bit older than me sitting on the edge of my bed with a phone in his hand. His hair was a dark chocolate brown, he had electric blue eyes that looked always alert and he gave a casaul and badass vibe. God he was sexy.
     "Who are you?" I asked and tried to ignore the screaming pain in my temple. "Adrian, You almost died" He extended a hand with a cocky smile plastered on his face.

I had just finished a shower and studied myself in the mirror of my bathroom. My dark chocolate brown hair was pulled back in a messy bun, I wore a black t-shirt and the same jeans which were now ripped at the knees. Free ripped jeans. Ugh so much for being optimistic.
I recognised Adrian as one of the seniors who I vaguely knew. I had detention with him once but we didn't give eachother much thought and I remembered my mates from school gossiping about how he takes different girls to his house everyday after school. Jeez what a player.
Adrian refused to explain what had happened until I finished cleaning up so there I was waiting impatiently in my room with a stranger. Someone pity me maybe?
"How long was I out for?" I questioned. "About 3 hours" He replied engrossed in his phone. Suddenly I recognised him as the driver that crashed in my car. Oh My God where's my mom?! Guilt passed over me for not giving her a thought and grumbling about my bruises. What if she was seriously hurt...Or Worse? "Your mom's in the hospital recovering from shock.. She fractured her left arm. Your dad's with her though, So I stayed back to...Uh watch you." Adrian said as if he read my mind but I didn't know how cause he was still typing on his stupid phone.
       "My dad let a stranger that nearly killed me stay alome at my house?" I croaked Wow, Thanks dad.  I shook my head, Worry about my mom consumed me and i drummed my fingers impatiently on my study desk. "Well, I'm not really a stranger. I am in the same school as you. Duh, haven't you heard of me?" He said as if that explained everything. "Whatever. You're a senior I barely know you. Actually I don't know you at all." "I'm the fucking soccer captain! Northmay High School's soccer team captain! Also, hottest guy to exist?" He cried and gave me the satisfaction of annoying him. "Nope still no idea" I said with a smirk. He rolled his eyes and then looked away.
       Once again I felt guilty that my mom was hurt and in the hospital. I shouldn't have called her. I coud've just walked home or caught a bus. "It's all my fault." I muttered and put my head in my hands overwhelmed woth exhaustion. "What? No it isn't." Adrian tried to comfort me and pathetically failed but I just got more and more frustrated. "Of course it isn't. You're right. It's all YOUR FAULT" I cried and balled my fists. "Oh god. No-" "WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING CROSSING THE SPEED LIMIT. OH MY GOD WE COULD HAVE DIED!!" I didn't even realise I was yelling. Adrian however looked cooler than the AC and this just annoyed me more. "Really, you're mom was the one who wasn't watching the road. Now if you want I'll take you to the hospital to see her" He said calmly.
  Still fuming, I nodded my head and Adrian stood up and turned around. For the first time I saw the back of his soccer uniform. In huge bold letters it was written 'ADRIAN SKYLER'.
Great, My dad left me home alone with the 'stranger' who nearly killed me and he also happened to be Kira Skyler's Big Brother. Yup my life is fucked up.
