(Chapter 17)
*Alyssa's POV*
I oggled at my unrecognisable figure in the mirror. I wore skinny black jeans and a black crop top. My brown hair was curled and flowed down my shoders, Sydney had put on light make up on me, yet I looked so different. "I owe you one girl" I thanked Sydney who smirked. "Well Adrian is gonna be there. You're inner beauty had to be released sometime soon" Sydney teased and finished her eyeliner. She wore ripped jeans and a crop top with 'Hoes before Bros' scrawled on it. "I'm sure Trystan would love that shirt" I laughed and we set off to his party. There was probably a whole zoo in my stomach, because I had never been to a party like one that Sydney described a 'Teen's Party'. Oh boy.

I let Sydney go ahead while I found a parking space in the crowded place. When I was done, I got out and pressed the doorbell. How anyone would hear it over the blaring music, was as mysterious as the Bermuda Triangle. An unknown blonde opened the door for me and I walked into a room where drunk teens were either half naked or dancing on chairs, tables and the couch. I felt a surge of pity to the non-living things. Those heels must be killing you. I looked down at my comfy converse, Oh boy maybe I shouldn't have come. I could be savoring the last few hours of holidays watching Netflix and drink hot cocoa but noooo Sydney decided to drag me along to her boyfriend's party. Hooray!
I made my way to the kitchen away from most of the dizzying drama. There was a cup of water on the table so I grabbed it and gulped it down. Not water..Vodka. The stinging sensation caused me to have a fit of chokes. I never drank before making my head feel light and spin. How could someone leave a cup of that stuff around??
"Oooh Burn!" A voice yelled behind me. "She so drank it!" Another cried. I spun around to find a group of seniors behind me at the doorway laughing, high fiving and a few grumbling and handing over money. "What??" I demanded fuming. "Sorry sweety, we bet someone like you would be stupid enough to drink from an unknown cup lying around. Damn, is it funny to see a clueless chick at a party like this. You've got a lot to learn hon." A blonde boy said. My ears turned pink. "I lost 20 bucks thanks to you" A red haired girl groaned. "Well, its not my fault it was lying here!" I defended, clutching my churning stomach. "Right. So it wasn't your fault that you drank something that was just lying around in a house full of partying drunkards. Yes, NOT your fault at all." She scoffed. I flushed and pressed my hand to my temple to stop the aching.
I surveyed the group in apprehension, desperate for a bathroom. And that's when I saw him. My first love. My first kiss. My first boyfriend. My first ex. Carl Damon.
