Chanyeol's P.O.V.
"Oh shit!"
I say, and immediately cover my mouth. I'm not supposed to swear, but Grey-ah just fainted! She's an amazing singer and she reminds me of someone, I just can't remember. I pick her up and she's out cold. I set her on the couch, Baekhyun feeling her forehead.
"Guys, she's really cold. Like, abnormally. Should we take her to see a doctor Chanyeol, guys?"
We end up leaving her to sleep it off, trying to record a new song while we're waiting. The music seems to wake her up and she's blinking her eye open. I smile at her, waving and clapping.
"You woke up!"
She jerks up standing and looking around frantically.
"What, how long was I...was I out for...I'm so sorry..."
She seems afraid, her eyes darting among us, tense to run. I speak up.
"Don't worry you were only out for maybe an hour. You did a great job singing! That's amazing! Also, you were really cold when you passed out, are you normally like that? What do you think..."
Baekhyun cuts me off with a shoulder tap.
"Um, well, thank you. And yes, I'm always cold so, don't worry it's normal. I'm so sorry I passed out, it won't happen again."
She says this with a slight bow directed to Suho, who's obviously stunned. Probably because none of us respect him, well, at all. He's quick to respond.
"No Grey-ah I'm sorry we should have taken better care of you. If you still feel fatigued you can go back to the dorms and get more rest."
It seems like an open option, but even I can see through his smile. He's seeing if Grey-ah is really cut out for this. She...he's quick to grab a microphone and join us.
"Fill me in on what I missed. I'm your new rap, and main vocal. They also pegged me as a visual, so it's up to you, put me in whenever you wish."
So we get to it. Our new track is called Monster. So, we need to see if she can rap.
"I declare a rap battle."
Sehun says this with a smirk, sipping his mocha bubble tea.
"So if you can't keep up, then maybe you should, you know, be a back up vocalist."
It isn't long before the competitive side of us comes out and we're all egging them on. Sehun drops a beat and Grey is quick to protest.
"That's cute, but if we're going to actually have a rap battle, we might as well do it right, but, you know, you might have to be a back up rapper."
Sehun is pissed. Like, completely.
"So, new member, what do you suggest?"
"Cypher part 4"
We all start yelling encouragement. Soon enough it's blaring through the speakers.
I LOVE
I LOVE
I LOVE MYSELF!
We spend an hour goofing off, and by the time we remember we were supposed to be recording a new song it's time to go home. Grey reluctantly stays, insisting on sleeping on the couch instead of in one of the rooms. He's really quiet, ignoring all of us unless we directly ask a question. But when I come over to say goodnight before bed, he takes off his reading glasses and looks up.
"How am I doing Chanyeol-ah?"
I'm stumped by the question. What...
"How am I doing being a boy I meant."
I think about it for a minute before saying
"Well, you can kind of tell you don't have a dick, but other than that you're doing great!"
I'm met by dead silence.
"I didn't mean it that way! I mean maybe it's just really small or..."
I didn't expect Grey's laugh to be so...amazing. It started out a snicker and doesn't take long before he's wiping his eyes, finally looking relaxed.
"Thanks Chanyeol. I think I needed to laugh for once."
He says with a light smile. I have to admit, Grey is...there's something different about him.
It's entrancing.
HaHA! Hello everyone. I can just see Grey snuggled up on the couch, wanting to sleep but too nervous. The rest of the members making tons of noise as he tries to read, finally giving up and waiting for everyone to go to sleep. Suggestions are welcome, dm me anytime.
Ren.
