Seek's P.O.V.

Grey hangs up on her end and I turn to Reid, already planning how I'm going to explain that we're going to have some extra help on this case right after the ordeal with their other consultant. It's hard enough for me to be able to convince Reid I'm sane enough for the job, I really don't think he's going to take wild Grey very well.

"Reid-"

"No."

He doesn't even let me speak.

"You have your own apartment Seek, and I like it when you stay over but your friends are crazy, no offense."

"Grey isn't crazy Reid, you'll like her she's actually quite...considerate."

"As long as she doesn't start living here."

"Don't worry I'll make her stay in a hotel somewhere, also she's consulting on our case."

He slams on the breaks, something his slow speed makes possible without much of a shock. I get ready for the impending argument to explode.

"Seek!"

~~~~~~~~~~
We pull into the parking lot after a heated argument over whether me being the Supervisory Agent gives me the right to hire unscreened consultants on high security cases. I said yes, Reid said no, but with much convincing that Grey isn't anyone to be worried about he relented. It's amazing that I even got the job, and the laser thin thread I'm treading of working with the government without the government knowing seems to be fraying under my feet.
"Seek I'm serious, this case involves a missing child that we have less than 24 hours to find. Can you please understand how serious this is? This is someone's son."
I'm shaken by his sincerity, hand holding mine tightly as he speaks. Seems like he really does think I'm a monster if he'll waste precious time grounding me in how sensitive this case is.
"Reid you can't tell anyone else, when I say you can't you really can't because I don't know what Grey would do, but she is a hybrid like me. Her genetic patterns were formed so she's elite, someone they could mass produce as war machines, but that wasn't her original purpose. Originally she was made to protect people, most likely as a bodyguard for the president. Another reason would be to find missing persons."
I hope he sees why I'm pushing for her to consult on this case, because if there is anyone we could bring in to save this boy's life it most definitely is her.
"If anyone can find the boy it's Grey, and don't underestimate my decision."
We get out of his car and I'm quick to spot Grey, a sleek black motorbike behind her as she plays on her phone, teenage like rebellious flair in every single one of her conceited gestures. Thin, tall, and undeniably attractive, even with short grey hair and a rough leather jacket, I have to admit she screams playboy cover. As we walk over I watch her light a cigarette, something she hasn't done in years. Sure she's driven to the drink, but more than one crutch of poison is foolish. I snatch the cigar out of her hand with a mother like vengeance. Doesn't she know that at twenty something her life is already near its end? Doesn't she have enough wisdom not to shorten it with such a life stunting habit?
"S-seek, ah Wings no Seek yes hi."
She stammers out, caught red handed in what I believe is a self pitying relapse. If I know anything about Wolfé it's that she lashes out when she's hurt by running away and inevitably hurting herself.
"Don't you dare light up another cigarette in front of me you stupid ignorant foolish pup."
I say, hand snatching the lighter out of her other hand. She cowers, shamefully sliding her phone into her pocket as we walk to the building, me briefing her on the case.
"I'm your boss today, don't disrespect me Grey. I don't need you telling everyone unnecessary details about our past for once. Reid, I'm sure you've figure out that this is Grey, and if you thought I cursed profusely then you're meeting my match."
"Like how you worked at Victoria's Secret for a year as their Mystery Angel?"
"Like that Grey!"
I shout, Reid turning red beside me as Grey already starts to slip up little secrets. I half heartedly shove her shoulder, rolling my eyes at how she goes from scared to stupid in a matter of seconds.
"Grey the reason I'm having you work with me is because we need to find someone, specifically you need to find them. Eight year old boy, taken from a near by park one hour ago, case is time sensitive."
"Then why the fucking hell are we going here instead of where it happened! Is it local? Can we fucking drive there? Has the evidence even been scanned? Have the parents been questioned? Have security cameras been checked?"
I smile slightly as Grey snatches the paperwork from Reid's hand, briefly commenting on how "fucking stupid" the police force is. This kind of a job is exactly what she was created for.
{in Korea Exo are forced to make a comeback without Grey, Electric Kiss being made in her absence as they all try to contact Grey, get over Grey, or pretend Grey is coming back tonight. The company SM doesn't care that they've lost a member, the massive amount of publicity brining in money like never before. Lay just found out that Grey is gone, and is on his way back to the dorm. BTS are confused, and trying to discreetly contact EXO to find out what happened. Taehyung's efforts of leaving comments on their video Electric Kiss from an unknown URL are proving, ineffective.}
Chapter dedication goes to faranabtsp1 ❤️
I'm nervously trying to make this blending of two worlds happen and know I'm losing readers every time I pull crap like this, but a few people are sticking through this craziness so I'm not complaining. Seek is someone you could liken to an, an older sibling to Grey if you will, someone Grey both mutually respects and fears. I'm really pulling Grey out of Korea because I need to see how she works without the fanfiction aspect, so by throwing her into America I can see if she'll ever be able to hold her own in a different book. Anyways, thank you for sticking through the long wait and all the bull shit I pull far too frequently.
