Connie had got up early that morning throwing on her gym clothes before leaving the house without a trace. Putting in her headphones she ran without stopping until she reached the lake at the bottom of the woods. Standing with her hands on her hips she leant forwards releasing a heavy breath.

Standing straight once again she glanced around not seeing anyone else out today. Walking across the path she wandered out onto the small deck that reached out over the lake. Sitting down she stretched her legs out before letting them fall over the edge, hanging just above the water.

Pulling her headphones out she listened to the sounds of birds flying around above her and the gentle ripples of the water. The sun was beginning to break through the clouds and shone down onto the water casting a bright glow over the woods. Her mind finally void of all thoughts as she slowly lay backwards, staring up at the sky.

At home Sam woke to an empty and cold bed. Pressing a hand to the mattress he could tell she had been up for some time. Frowning he checked his phone to see that there weren't any messages or calls from her. Wandering if she had maybe fallen asleep in Belle's room again he crossed the landing to find the room empty.

Both girls were fast asleep still so he wandered downstairs, no note left from her either. Pressing his hands to the counter he had known that Connie had been a little distant yesterday. He was beginning to worry about her but knew that he had no proof something was wrong. Instead he started making the girls something to eat, the time passing as Connie soon wandered in through the door.

Pulling her head phones out as she stepped into the kitchen she put her phone onto the table. "Hey, why didn't you wake me this morning?" "You needed your beauty sleep." He arched a brow as she smiled reaching into one of the bowls taking some of the fruit he'd cut up. Stepping around the table Sam passed her a mug of coffee which she accepted gratefully.

He pressed his lips against hers as she moved the mug from between them to place it on the counter. Reaching her hand around his neck she stepped closer deepening the kiss. Sam pressed his hands to the small of her back as the moment quickly became heated. Connie moaned softly against his lips as she broke from him.

Resting her forehead against his Sam traced his hand up and down her back. His eyes searching for hers as she kept them down. Lifting a hand to her cheek she met his gaze seeing there was worry behind his eyes. "We still have an hour before someone's going to be waking up hungry... Fancy joining me in the shower?" He smiled quickly as she kissed him briefly again before pulling away and moving up the stairs.

Half an hour later Sam laid on the bed rolling his head to the side watching her as she clutched the cover around her body walking across the room. "So we didn't quite make it to the shower but I'm sure you could catch one now." Connie arched a brow as she moved back towards the bed kneeling up as she straddled his waist.

Sam reached his hands forwards to the sheet she still had wrapped around her. Connie smirked as she felt his hands move beneath it to rest on her thighs. "How the hell have we gone three months without doing that?" She laughed bending down to kiss his lips once before he caught her and deepened it.

His hands pushed further up beneath the covers before he turned to the side pressing her down into the bed again. Sam sat in the position she had been moments ago as she looked up at him. "Are you going to let me shower or not?" He smirked bending down to graze his lips over her neck, her back arching towards him as he did so. His breath blew hot against her neck before he moved his lips to her ear. "I guess that depends-" "On?"

She felt his hands move to her waist as he lingered beside her ear. "If you really want to go." Turning her head to the side she smirked as he captured her lips with his. Sitting forwards Sam kept his hands on her waist as she mumbled against his lips. "Just... Come... With... Me..." He smiled before helping her up from the bed, their lips still attached to the other.

By the time they had showered and eventually changed, Belle was laying awake in her bed. Connie stepped into her room picking her up. "Hey baby..." Sam watched her from the door as she turned and walked towards him. "I'll bring her downstairs, that way you can carry on making me something to eat." Rolling his eyes she kissed him quickly before wandering down the stairs.

Grace was already in the living room with music on the television. "Morning princess-" "Morning Mummy..." Connie sat down on the sofa with Grace as she continued singing along to the various songs that played before sitting up at the table to eat breakfast. "Oh Grace, when your finished go and get dressed. Carmel's coming over in a few hours so make sure that bedroom is cleaned too."

She nodded happily with a wide smile soon disappearing from the room. "I didn't know you'd arranged that-" "You wouldn't, because you don't listen to me." Sam feigned being hurt as he sat down on the sofa beside her. "I take great offence to that-" "Oh yeah? What did I say to you last night about this weekend?"

Sam groaned letting his head fall backwards as she smirked. "My point exactly-" "You said that if I ever invite my mother over again without telling you, you'll make sure that I never have anymore grandchildren to introduce her to... Something along those lines anyway." Connie laughed as she stood up with Belle. "So you do listen to me sometimes?" "On occasions..." Rolling her eyes she disappeared upstairs placing Belle into her bed while getting herself sorted for the day.
