Connie woke to Sam laying beside her, his eyes scanning over her body. She moaned gently as she rolled onto her front stretching her arms above her. "Helloooo beautiful..." He laughed before she punched his side, not stopping him from smiling. Connie lay her head down watching him with the same smile he wore.
Sam ran a hand through her hair as she let her eyes close, taking a deep breath. "I've put some clothes in the bathroom for you, get changed and then we have somewhere to be." She let her eyes open again looking to him with a suspicious gaze. "What are you planning?" "You'll see."
Connie did as he said moving into the bathroom. "Sam this isn't really what I had in mind when you said clothes..." She held up the swimwear causing him to laugh. "Open your eyes, there's clothes in there too." Connie pulled a face before quickly getting changed, returning to the main room. "So Sherlock care to explain where we're going?"
Sam rolled his eyes taking her hand as they wandered from the room. Connie looked about seeing several other rooms around them before Sam led her outside. She followed him through the grounds taking in all the gardens around them. "This place is nice, where'd you find it?" "I know people..."
She smirked walking along with his hand tightly within hers. They came to another building but Sam wandered along the side of it coming to a small Jacuzzi which overlooked the city. "Wow, you really are going all out." He laughed shaking his head as he watched her slip her top over her head discarding it to the floor.
Sam climbed in settling down as he watched Connie take off her shorts. His eyes ran over her body in the swimsuit she wore. The black material clung to her figure, emphasising her chest. The sides of it were missing showing her curvy waist. He held his hands out as she climbed over the edge slipping into the water opposite him.
Connie watched him with a smile unable to tear her eyes away from him. "Want to explain why you've arranged all this then?" "Not yet..." She laughed glancing away before returning her eyes to him. "Come on..." "No..." He laughed as she splashed water up at him before his hands wound around her waist pulling her into his chest.
She surrendered easily as his lips came crashing onto hers. Connie found herself lifting her legs, wrapping them around his waist as she felt him pull her closer to his chest. She moved her arms around his neck accepting the kiss, her skin tingling where his hands moved across her body.
They spent the next hour in bliss, just the two of them able to say and do whatever they wanted. Having no interruptions was a strange thing for the pair of them as they were so used to work, or Grace coming between the moments they shared. After a few hours outside Sam coaxed her out of the Jacuzzi and into the building beside them.
Connie followed him into a large, open planned room with two beds at one side. "You booked us a massage? But you hate them-" "Well I figured seeing you undressed couldn't be a bad thing." She rolled her eyes nudging him before they were greeted by two women doing as they asked.
She hadn't been wrong, he wasn't into this sort of thing at all but he knew she would enjoy it all. Sam spent most the time just watching Connie, mesmerised by her. After a while he moved from the bed with a smile. "I've just got to disappear for a second, I'll be back soon." She opened her eyes seeing him crouched beside her before he placed a tender kiss to her lips. "Okay-" "Relax."
Sam moved outside returning to the room beginning to re-arrange their things. The room had been cleaned while they were out meaning he barely had to do anything. Sam laid out a few things on the bed before standing in the doorway looking at everything. Smiling to himself he grabbed the bag from the floor before lifting it onto his shoulder.
Connie was sitting up looking out at the view by the time Sam returned to her. "Hey-" "Hey, where'd you go?" He kissed her before wrapping an arm around her waist. "Just had to make a quick call... You ready to go?" She smiled with a nod as they disappeared to get changed once again.
This time, Sam led her in another direction and Connie had given up asking questions. They wandered out into one of the fields before Sam stopped. "Do I want to ask?" "Probably not." She laughed shaking her head as he pulled a blanket from the bag he'd been carrying. "Need a hand?" He looked to her as she helped him lay it out before they both sat down.
Sam had prepared a small picnic, placing everything on the blanket. "You didn't have to do all this-" "If I told you I didn't would it make you feel better?" "Such a romantic Sam-" "I do try." She laughed accepting a drink before leaning into him, resting her head to his shoulder.
They spent a while sitting quietly together as the sun began to set in the fields before them. "This view is amazing-" "I bet it's not as good as mine right now." She glanced round to Sam who was sitting slightly behind her, just watching her as the sunset cast a glow over her. She felt herself blush as she dropped her gaze to the floor.
Sam laughed as they finished eating before gathering everything up heading back to their room. "Today has been perfect, thank you." Sam smiled wrapping his arm around her shoulders as they strolled at a leisurely pace. He let her walk into the room first, watching him as she laughed at their conversation.
She was oblivious to the room before she turned around stopping in her tracks. Sam placed the bag down on the floor before snaking his arms around her waist. "Happy birthday beautiful." Connie looked to the way he had so delicately laid the petals across the bed with the few presents in the middle. "Sam..."
He let her step out of his embrace towards the bed where she perched on the edge not wanting to mess everything up. He watched her open the few things from the other side of the room. She gasped at the intricate silver bracelet feeling tears spring to her eyes. "This is gorgeous Sam, it looks so expensive-" "It was worth it if you like it-" "I do, it's lovely."
She slipped it back into the box before Sam laughed. "You know, you don't have to sit so carefully on the edge of the bed Con." "I don't want to mess it all up." He moved across the room, diving onto the bed causing the petals to float into the air, re-settling around him. Connie rolled her eyes glaring down at him before he pulled her down to the bed beside him. She couldn't help but laugh melting into the kiss as she finally let her mind rest.
