Before Capture*

I stand up, alert as my senses are on edge. I catch a unfamiliar smell as I push my human form to walk faster in the woods, a dagger held closely to my side under my jacket in case of trouble. The only trouble I'll probably find would be a hunter.. if they dare.

The unfamiliar scent gets closer, now not even being a mile as the scent gets stronger to my human nose. I jump up into a tree, holding the dagger like I'm ready to throw it at anyone who dares to try and hurt me or my pack.

"I can't believe that man was dead. Only someone as powerful as an Alpha would hunt that rogue down and kill it." A deep voice says.

"Especially the note clinging in the rogue's hand that said 'betrayed by my warrior.'" Another man says. I look down over the tree limbs and watch them as their engaged in conversation.

"That rogue.. for a warrior to betray their Alpha.. for a rogue? Sounds so.. impossible. I mean, why would such a high title like warrior be destined to kill such an un-titled ex-pack membered rogue. Doesn't make sense to me at all." The first man says, his voice on edge as he sniffs the air, probably catching a scent. My scent.

"Doesn't make sense that a warrior would be told to kill a rogue, I mean.. why wouldn't the beta? Unless the beta wasn't there. But then the other higher titles would." The second man says, walking further from my free while the first walks closer.

"Unless the beta and the others were killed for some unknown reason, leaving the warrior to do it if the Alpha was too lazy- or too weak to kill the rogue," the first man says, looking up into my tree.

"The Alpha couldn't be weak.. at least not if he can run a pack," the second man justifies, watching the first that still searches my tree as I hide behind the trunk.

"Yes.. indeed," the first man says as I jump out of the tree, landing on my feet expertly as I circle the two men.

"A warrior.. what an honor," they say, bowing their heads in respect.

"Who is this man, this rogue.. you speak of?" I ask with a loud, strict voice people only usually use when dealing business. The men look at me with feared glances before the second one speaks up, making me notice he's the more talkative, more.. un-strict of the two.

"M'am, the rogue was tall-" yes, the one I helped was too. "brown hair, brown eyes, a beard." Yes..that was him.. "He was found dead a few miles up, towards another pack. But the pack hadn't killed him, an Alpha did. We can tell by how much force was used.. not a beta's or any higher titles either. Just the Alpha's work.." The man trails off, looking up at me.

"You said there was a.. note?" I ask, walking closer to him, my dagger now in my belt as I'm not afraid of the two, never was but you have to be ready for someone to pounce, never turn your back.

"Yes, yes there was. The note was in the dead rogue's hand.." The same man says once again.

"And was there something on it?" I ask with raised eyebrows, already knowing the answer due to me listening on their conversation earlier.

"Oh uh.. yes," the second man says nervously biting down on his lip. My eyes flash a black color before turning back to blue, as I calm down my wolf that just wants answers from these two older men.

"Tell me what it said," I snap, the second man cowering under my gaze.

"Betrayed by my warrior, is what the note stated, m'am," the first man says quietly, making my head snap towards him. I walk up to him, cocking my head to the side as I see defiance spreading through his eyes.

"You," I spit, pushing the man down on his knees as I move down to his level, looking into his brown eyes. "You defy me?" I spit once again at him.

"No." He states calmly, looking into my eyes like a brave soul would. I glare at him, my eyes shooting daggers unlike the one that's still in my belt.

"I doubt you." I say harshly, pulling him to his feet and slamming him into the tree hard. He winces, his eyes shutting tightly before opening them, his eyes a dark black as his wolf begs to be free. I smirk, slamming him again as he starts to breathe hard, wanting to hit the tree but I grab his wrists and put them above his head with one hand, easily stronger then him by a lot.

"That's your problem that you doubt me, not mine." He says with rebellion floating in his eyes. His friend whimpers, looking scared as he shakes his head quickly at the defiant man, telling him to not defy me or sass me, but too late. I'm angered.

"Oh yeah? Well then this isn't my problem either," I say, hitting his head hard on the tree and grabbing my dagger as I stab his leg, and arm. He lets a tear fall as he squirms under my gaze, not even knowing that this wasn't even close to how my easy work is.

"Go right now and if you make a mile in two minutes, I will hunt you down and kill you." I growl as I let go of him, as he gasps for air from where my hand had squeezed his neck.

His buddy picks him up and turns into wolf form, biting his buddy's collar before running with the man. I clean my dagger off before walking towards my pack, already waiting for the punishment of letting the rogue go.

I open the gate and walk in, people looking my direction before lowering their gazes, fear radiating off of their bodies.

"Paris," Alpha Lukas hisses. I turn my head, staring at him with my tired, but still strong gaze.

"What?" I snap, not wanting to hear his disgusting voice in my ears.

"You let the rogue go," he says calmly, people gathering around us as I hide my dagger in my belt, my coat covering it as it lightly snows around us once again.

"So? He trespassed yes, I know but he didn't try and kill any of us. He was too weak anyways," I snap, as people's eyes widen at the way I spoke to my Alpha, but I talk to everyone like this so they shouldn't care.

"He trespassed Paris!" He yells at me harshly, grabbing my wrist tightly.

"I don't give a shit!" I scream, pushing him away and slap his cheek, my eyes turning black as I feel them change. My wolf yells at me for her to he free but I won't allow it.. not yet.

"You should, you're going to be a rogue," Alpha Lukas snaps, looking down upon me while his eyes stay the natural boring color they are.

"I'm glad to hear that, I might be more respected as one," I say with a glare, walking to my room inside the warrior's hallway and grabbing my small amount of stuff before leaving and slamming the door, walking back outside to see the Alpha and my pack.

"Thank you for your service Paris," Alpha says with a smirk, watching my body in a disgusting way if I may give my opinion.

"It wasn't an honor." I say with a glare, punching him in his 'man area' before walking out of the gates, not as a warrior anymore, but as a..

Rogue.
