"Hello?" My deep voice rings through my empty house. Of course I'm all alone.. Paris is dead and me? I'm just a lonely Alpha who killed his wonderful, beautiful mate.

I already know I'll get no answer much to my sadness so I walk up the stairs with the bags that the hospital gave me that's enclosed with my clothes. Much to 'Betty's', I found out she's the one who was my nurse, grief, I was released from the hospital and will now rest for a month.

But I won't rest for a month. I'm planning on taking a trip, a long trip.. I'm going to find who the girl who the blue eyes is, and I'm going to find out where she is.

Paris..

I wish it was her but it's so impossible. Her name makes my wolf howl out and cry and my human side scream.

Her ocean, glowing blue eyes that had the natural twinge of black specks on the sides with green, her long brown hair that she always wore in two French braids that lay over her shoulders and to her mid-stomach easily, the scar that went straight through her perfectly sculpted right eyebrow casting a dangerous look upon her face, her dazzling diamond nose ring that always shined when she wore it, her smile that showed her teeth was rare, but rare is rare beauty in my eyes and oh- she was rare beauty. I loved how every time she looked at me it was like the first time. I loved how at the ending of her life, she had welcomed me, shown me mercy when I didn't deserve it, and even loved me for who I was.

She loved me.. that was a hard thing for me to wrap my annoyingly big head around. How could someone love a monster like me? Someone who hurt her continually. It's just not right.

I wish she was back, and if I could've redone that who night, I would've been standing by her side, begging for Daniel to kill me instead- no wait. I wouldn't beg, I killed him with my own hands before he had the chance to kill us. That night.. Paris had told me this would lead us to our fate, but is this really out fate? Is this how I want our story to end? Of course not.

Our real fate is where we stand in the church, praying to the Moon Goddess on a Sunday morning while holding our pups hands in the process.

Our real fate is the day that she becomes the real Luna of this pack, the day she really is in charge.

Our real fate is the day that I find her.

The day that I realize that she is not gone, she's still here.

She has to be..

"Alpha? How are you doing?" An elderly woman asks me as I grab a fresh produce from the market in our pack. I offer her a smile and set it in my basket.

"I'm all right, thank you for asking, how are you?" She smiles brightly at me before picking an orange up herself.

"I'm great now that I hear how you've been. It's been rough lately for you, I understand what it's like to lose your mate.." she trails off at the end with a far away look before snapping out of it and offering another smile to me.

"Really? How did you lose yours if you don't mind me asking?" I ask her, picking an apple up.

"My mate wasn't an ordinary mate, Alpha. I'd rather talk about this in private and not around people." She says uneasily making me nod in understanding.

"We can go to the creek, how about that?" I ask her softly. She nods with a soft smile as wrinkles form more on her forehead and I grab her hand, lightly pulling on her tiny body towards the creek that no one goes too.

We sit down side by side as I still hold onto her elderly hand. She reminds me of a grandmother.. her smile and the way she holds my hand, squeezing it lightly as silence surrounds us for a few moments.

"My mate was a beast-" she laughs, wrinkles forming at her eye creases "of course all of us werewolves are. But, Dane would turn into the scariest animal at dark.. nothing could stop him, he'd kill anyone. When he would come back in the morning.. he was different, every time he seen me he'd break down.. he'd blame himself but it was just the way he was born- he couldn't help it. People were on the hunt for Dane.. I wouldn't leave him like he wanted to though so I stayed. But once they caught him an he ordered me to leave- we all must respect our orders. You know that Xavier, I heard gunshots as my feet ran and my heart dropped. From that day forward- I've been like this. But I know Dane isn't dead." She smiles, looking at me softly.

"He has to be dead m'am. There were gunshots.." I look at her confused to which she grins, picking up a rose.

"Oh but I've seen him Xavier, he's alive- very much alive. You should know that Paris isn't dead neither," she looks ahead with a grin as I look down, trying to wrap my head around what she said. "Dane is her grandfather Xavier, and I'm her grandmother and I should know if your mate is dead. But she's alive- with her grandfather, where she'll live until she's ready to change into what the who family has changed into when they first die.."

"What do they change into?" I ask her quietly.

"Exactly what Dane is. A beast." I look up at her to see her standing up with a smile.

"She'll come back for you one day Xavier. But she'll be different- just ask the Moon Goddess for she has all the answers." And with that she vanishes, mid-air and her body is like mist before I know longer see her lingering in the air.
