Enjoy!!!
The second the monitor went off Astrid rushed back into Hiccup's room.
"Hiccup?!" She asked fearfully.
"Astrid..." Hiccup groaned, clutching his head.
She ran to his side, wrapping an arm around his back as her other hand clutched his arm.
"Hiccup, what's wrong?"
His forehead was covered with sweat and his eyes were half-lidded.
"I-" He was only able to get out the first word before he groaned again, starting to pant.
"Hiccup, you're okay. You're gonna be okay. You need to tell me what's wrong, though, okay?" She tried to sound as soothing as she could.
The door burst open, but this time Astrid was too scared to leave Hiccup.
A doctor came rushing in.
"What happened?" The doctor asked.
"I don't know, I was just about to leave and then this happened," Astrid said worriedly.
The doctor came closer to Hiccup.
"When was the last time you ate."
"Last... night." He managed to get out.
"What?! You need food! Someone will be in soon to give you something." The doctor said, rushing quickly out of the room.
Hiccup slumped against Astrid, his head falling slack on her shoulder as if it had broken off of his neck, though his hands were still holding his head.
"Hiccup?"
"My... head... hurts..." He whispered in between pants, squeezing his eyes shut as a new burst of pain hit him.
Seconds later a nurse rushed in with a tray of food.
She put the food down in front of him and told Astrid to make sure he eats before rushing out of the room.
Astrid reached her hand up to smooth down his hair.
"Hiccup, you need to eat."
"But... I... ate... yesterday..." He mumbled.
"Hiccup, eat." She commanded, gently helping him up off of her.
He fell back on his pillow, ignoring her.
"Hiccup. EAT." She pulled him up, and this time he didn't resist.
He reached a shaky hand over and picked up a sandwich.
He took a bite of it and swallowed, but it didn't help at all.
"It's... not... working..."
"Hiccup, your body needs more than a bite of a sandwich to make up for the blood you lost."
"No... it... doesn't..."
She pointed to the food, a fierce scowl on his face, and he continued to eat while she rubbed his back.
Once he had finished he fell back on his pillow, draping an arm over his eyes.
"I don't feel... any better."
"Hiccup, your body needs rest. Go to sleep. I'll see you later, okay?"
She was about to stand up when Hiccup grabbed her with his arm, revealing his face.
"Don't... leave... Please?" Astrid studied Hiccup, he was still panting and his hair had matted to his forehead. His eyes were bloodshot and his lip was still bleeding from where that guy had punched him. He was still horribly pale, even his eyes had started to fade, turning from emerald green to a murky swamp green. His breath was labored, pausing every couple seconds as he tried to get a grip on his pain.
