CHAPTER 11: Preparation and Cancellation

[AVERY'S POV]

As always, lagi kong alarm clock si mommy. Then, after namin mag-breakfast, nandito kaming lahat ulit sa jardin para pag-usapan ang magiging simpleng birthday party ni lola.

"Mom. Sons. I need your suggestions. Anong pwede nating i-prepare para sa birthday party ng lola nyo?" panimula ni dad.

"Mag-prepare tayo ng konting balloons, daddy!" suggest ni mommy.

"Mm.. Pwede rin.." sang-ayon ni dad.

"With matching birthday hats pa sa mga bisita!" dagdag pa ni mommy.

"Mom! Its not a children's party!" tutol ni dad.

"Hahaha! Ayaw nyo yun, dad? Babata si lola?" pagsang-ayon ni David sa sinabi ni mommy.

"Hahahaha! Agree din ako kay mommy, dad!" isa pa 'tong si Raven.

"You, two. SHUT. THE F*CK. UP!" sigaw ni dad sa kanya.

Napa-pout na lang si mommy.

"Ikaw, David. Anong suggestion mo?" tanong ni dad kay David.

"Mm.." ngumiti nang nakakaloko si David. "What if.. Magpa-beach party tayo! Lahat ng adults, nasa main venue lang while the youths, nasa beach with some sexy girls!" masiglang tugon ni David.

"Haha! I like it! Oy, youth pa ako, a?" pagsang-ayon ni dad kay David.

"Daddy!" sigaw ni mommy kay dad.

Natawa na lang kami ni Raven sa kanila.

"What if.. Let's make a private party? Dapat lahat ng guests ay malalapit lang kay lola. Tapos, haharanahin namin siya ng some classic song. About the theme, since nature-lover naman si lola, nature na ang theme natin. The venue is beside the beach but NO ONE will wear some swimsuits and the time of celebration will be 7pm. Is that ok?" paliwanag ko sa suggestion ko.

Lahat naman sila ay sang-ayon at kung anong sinabi ko ay mangyayari sa darating na May 15, 2022.

[MILEY FRANCINE'S POV]

I was at the middle of my sleep when my iphone rings because someone's calling me.

"Hello?" I said while my eyes are still close.

[Francine, cancel your meeting with The Javiers. There's some special event for them in May 15 and no one must disturb them based on my secretary. You may set some time and date next time, ok?]

"Ok." I said then..

*call ended*

Actually, I didn't make a convo directly to The Javiers because my plan is, after I stay at their hotel for a while, I will set immediately our appointment. Since the meeting was cancelled for now and I don't had a mood to go to La Javier, I will call their hotel to cancel my reservation.

[Hello, good morning! La Javier Hotel, this is Ivy, how may I help you?]

"As always, there's no good in morning. I just want to cancel my reservation in that place."

[That's not a problem, Ma'am. All I need is your name, contact number, and your reservation date.]

"I'm Miley Francine Alcantara. My number is 0912******* and the reservation was for May 15, 2022."

[Ok Ma'am Alcantara. Let me hit one button *sound effects* and now your reservation was already cancelled.]

"Ok."

[Its been my pleasure tp help you, Ma'am. Thank you for calling La Javier Hotel. Have a great day!]
