Audrey held your hand tightly as you walked through the hallways. This morning she even curled your hair, she burnt herself multiple times whispering curse words when she did but it was really cute to watch her bite her lip concentrating on getting the perfect curl.

"You okay?" Audrey asked snapping you out of your thoughts you nodded "just thinking" you replied giving her a reassuring smile "about?" Audrey edged on

"You"  you replied and started to sway your hands back and forth, a smile found its way onto her face as she glanced from your intertwined fingers to your smirking face "that was super cheesy"

"Yeah but you liked it" you opened your locker and grabbed the books you needed Audrey cleared her throat making you turn around. Haley there arms crossed, classic bitch face "Im
gonna be honest with the both of you, I don't like you together, I-" Haley stopped "that wasn't supposed to sound so" "jealous?"you finished her sentence and wrapped you arm around Audrey's waist pulling her closer to you " i dont like you" Haley replied coldly "oh my god, Audrey we have fans"

"How lovely" Audrey said in an obvious fake British accent "if you would excuse me" you walked past Haley bumping her with your shoulder in the process.

The next day

Too busy answering the questions the teacher had assigned you didn't see Sheriff Acosta walk in the classroom "can I have Audrey Jensen, Emma Duval, and y/n Byers please?" You looked up at the mention of your name and followed him out of the class, the three of you giving confused looks on the way out

Sheriff grabbed his little notepad from his belt and clicked the pen hovering it over the blank paper "how did you know Haley Meyers?"

"Well at cheer camp we used to braid each other hair and talk about how many calories we ate" you said in a preppy voice Audrey nudged you and gave you that 'shut up' look. "I think what she's trying to say is, we didn't really know her" Emma said "we weren't exactly friends" Audrey finished "thats what her friends said" sheriff whispered writing something down "y/n" sheriff said making you look up from your hands

"Where were you last night?"

"Why ?"
"Haley's body was found at around 11:43 pm, and from what her friends say, You and her had it out for each other" you felt like your heart dropped he was accusing you of being the killer. "No no away" Audrey waved her arms in the air "she was home all night with me in bed" Audrey protested, sheriff nodded and wrote something else "could she have snuck out by any chance?"

You opened your mouth to say something but Audrey beat you to it "no. I'm not a very heavy sleeper I would know if her arms weren't wrapped around me" Audrey gripped your hand with her shaking one "okay thank you" sheriff turned and walked down the hall "thanks" you whispered to Audrey giving her hand a squeeze "i wasn't gonna let them accuse you of murder"

Audrey placed a quick kiss on your lips
