You walked into school with your head down holding your books tightly to your chest. This reminded you of that one day with Malia in the hallways

You and Malia had just broken up not because the relationship was bad but because you were moving in a month neither you or Malia could do a long distance relationship. Malia walked down the halls with her binder close to her chest her head down

You saw Malia and an instant feel of regret and sadness washed over you "Malia" you walked in front of her "you okay?" You asked knowing damn well she wasn't "hey" you grabbed her hand, Malia instantly pulling it back making you flinch

Malia looked up at you with tears in her eyes "I hate loosing like this" Malia walked past you leaving you speechless

"Hey" you snapped out of your daze looking up seeing Emma and the usual Lakewood group standing no more then two feet behind her as you were walking past their lockers Emma of course stopping you. "We heard about Zoë, were really sorry I know it sucks but you have us and we're your good friends so-" "i only had one friend" you cut Emma off and glanced at Zoës locker that now had flowers taped to it along with a picture of her "shes dead too"
You brushed past Emma making your way to class.

"Don't forget page 254 questions 1-10" you grabbed your books and quickly made your way out of the last class. After one of your classes when you went to your locker to get new books a picture of you with the rest of the group was in your locker except everyone else's faces were crossed out with red paint leaving only you. You knew it was because of the Carnival. The speech.

You took a breath before walking towards the group. Their conversation died down as you approached you didn't say anything just handed Emma the picture letting everyone else see it as well. "Don't let me be the only one left behind"
