"Y/n!" You lifted your head up from your pillow at your moms voice, you had changed out of your dress and put on sweatpants and a black tank top. You stumbled down the stairs going to the hallway only to see Dustin run past you and out the front door. Your mom stopped in the doorway letting out a sigh "he won't talk to me" she said obviously exhausted you grabbed your keys off the table "I got it"
"You never get far" you said as you sat down next to Dustin on the bench looking out over the lake "just because something is bothering you doesn't mean you get to act like an asshole. What's the cut from?" You leaned your elbows back on the bench waiting for an answer
"Some kids at school" he replied with a sigh "I don't want you to end up like dad" you said firmly Dustin looked back at you knowing you were talking about the trouble your dad used to get in, as kids no one called him dad he didn't earn that
"You know Fiona wouldn't have wanted you to either" Dustin looked down at his hands "are you okay?" You asked getting a shrug from Dustin "just can't stop seeing that dead body in my head"
You brought your elbows off the table and placed a hand on his back he turned and wrapped his arms around you. You let go of him after a minute "let's get back before mom freaks out" ,,,,,,
"Hey it's Zo-" you hung up the phone and threw it on your bed. It started to ringing making you grasp for it "hello?" You answered quickly "hello y/n" you stomped your foot on the ground "what do you want" you asked back "wanna go swimming?" The line went dead "swimming?" You asked yourself out loud the lake
You slammed the car door shut and walked towards the lake "Zoë!" You yelled cupping your hands around your mouth your phone started to ring again but you felt a jolt of happiness when Audrey's face lit up on the screen "Where are you?" "Hello to you too" you returned coldly "y/n" she said firmly "at the lake" you replied finally giving in to her tone "Im coming" "Audrey no-" Audrey hung up before she would let you protest you let out an aggravated groan at her stubbornness
"Why" you asked as Audrey got out of her car "because I can" she snapped back "you left school!" You protested starting to walk through the tall grass "and?!" You groaned and kept walking "why are you here?" Audrey asked
"The killer called me" you mumbled hoping Audrey didn't hear it because you knew she would- "so you listened to him?!" There it is. "Im trying to save Zoë!" You yelled back stopping to turn to her "yeah well she doesn't seem to be here anywhere"

You ignored Audrey and kept walking. You picked up your phone seeing a video of Zoë stuck in a water filling box "oh my god Audrey" you said making her run up behind you and look at the phone "come on" you grabbed Audrey's hand and pulled her making her run with you towards the lake "where what-what are we looking for!" Audrey yelled frantically
"This!" You grabbed the rope and started to pull,Audrey grabbed the rope as well and started to help you. Once the coffin like box was out of the water you rushed over to it trying to pull the lid off, water started to leak through the cracks the lid popped off "Zo-" you stopped when you saw how Zoë looked "but it" you grabbed your phone back to the video of Zoë "it was pre recorded"
