You stumbled as you walked into stage but you just giggled and kept walking to the mic. "Look at this cool ass carnival" you said your words almost stutery "is she drunk?" Audrey asked Noah leaning into him "um yeah" he said replied "yeah Auds she's drunk" Emma said with a nod

"Lets dim the mood for a second" you gripped onto the mic and swallowed taking a breath "as some of you know i was supposed to be here with my girlfriend Audrey Jensen but we all know how that worked out right?" You made quick eye contact with Audrey and she looked down playing nervously with the pink fur on the teddy bear

You started swaying on your feet "you know who else was supposed to be here Brooke's boyfriend and one of my best friends Jake Fitzgerald" Brooke stood at the side of the stage listening closely

"Jake actually had an amazing sense of humor which is why he would have loved this carnival cuz its such a joke!" You there one of your hands up in the air "congrats Lakewood keep on lying to yourselfs!"

"Should we do something?" Audrey whispered to Noah he shrugged and glanced between your tearing eyes and Audrey worried ones

"Glad I wasn't here to see most of it, the town is cursed people die here all the time I almost died-" "thank you-" "no!" "Since Im the only person in this town that seems to have a clue I should just go away for a while and come back when no ones left because you all waited to understand that this is murderville. And then I'll be the only one left behind and you're all gonna end up like Jake and you'll deserve it" you felt your hand start shaking and a sob build up but you pushed it back "but he didn't" you said through gritted teeth. You looked at the ground one last time before dropping the mic and walking back to the tent. Brooke ran across stage back to where you went

"We should go get her" Emma said starting to take off towards the makeup tent. You were quickly grabbing your stuff when you saw Audrey, Noah and Emma rush in Brooke and Zoë following close behind "drink this" Zoë commanded handing you a water bottle. You rolled your eyes and took the water taking a sip of it

Brooke rested her hands on your bare shoulders "Jake would have liked that speech" she whispered to you making you smile "let's get you home" Audrey said grabbing your bag and basically pushing you out of the tent
