"Y/n?" Audrey asked sitting from her bed as you changed your shirt "yeah?" You replied as you grabbed a black shirt out of her closet "you never told me about your life before Lakewood, I know you moved to get away from something, but you never told me what"
You froze and looked at your feet "I don't wanna talk about that right now, okay babe?" You turned to face her and she nodded looking at her hands as she picked at the black nail polish her nails. "Hey" you put your hands on her shoulders making her look up at you "I'll tell you I promise just not today"
You sat down on the bed next to her "I don't even wanna go back I feel like I'm just getting used to it here" Audrey put her head on your shoulder and took your hand in hers "when are you leaving?" Audrey asked looking down at your intertwined hands "tomorrow"
"I can give you a ride to the airport" Audrey offered moving her head off your shoulder to look at you "okay" you moved in and gave her a quick kiss ----- Lydia was picking you up from the airport, this would be an exciting trip if you weren't here for someone's death. Honk honk
You looked up from your phone to see the familiar blue jeep parked in front of you Lydia hopped out of the passenger side and walked up to you with her arms open. You hugged her "i missed you" she whispered "i missed you too lyds" Lydia let go of you and placed her hands on your shoulders "let's go" you picked up your bag and walked over to the jeep
"Hey there she is" Stiles said leaning on the seat you smiled at him and hopped in the back seat. You were only here for three days so you didn't need a lot of luggage. It was dark out by now, late flight
You grabbed your phone and looked at your messages from a few days ago

You smiled at the picture before Lydia snapped you out of your daze. "You know you can always stay with me you don't have to stay at Malia's" she said peering back at you "I know it's just Malia needs someone there for her and I'm willing to be that someone"

"Thanks guys tell Scott and Allison i said hi" you shut the jeep door and waved at them as you walked up to Malia's house, it was all so familiar yet you had a bad feeling about being here "y/n!" Malia opened the door and quickly walked down the steps rushing up to you a big smile on her face "Malia" you let out a sigh of relief as she quickly embraced you in a hug "your hair it's long and blonde again" you touched the end of Malia's braid
"I know Lydia helped me dye it and these are just extensions it's still shoulder length don't worry" she reassured.
You stood in the kitchen helping Malia make cookies for the wake tomorrow. "Y/n" you stopped mixing the cookie dough and looked over at her "hmm?" You hummed turning back to the cookie dough mixing in the chocolate chips "do you love Audrey?"
You stopped and looked back at her "I don't know, its like I wanna say that I love her but at the same time I feel like it's too soon, and i don't even know if she would say it back"
Malia looked at you pity in her eyes "I think she'd say it back, I told you I loved you and you said it back" Malia gave you an encouraging smile "yeah but Lia we were dating for almost a year not a week" you sighed rubbed your greasy hands on a towel "I just wanna keep her safe even if that means ruining our relationship" Malia placed her hand on your lower back "it'll be okay" ....

"Hey Lia can i use your laptop?" You asked washing your hands, you and Malia had just took the cookies out of the oven "yeah it's up in my room" she said you whispered a thanks and walked upstairs. The stairs and banister in Malia's house always creeped you out, you always had a fear off falling off the side of the banister and hitting the ground.
"Hey" you greeted Audrey from the computer screen "hi you doing okay?" She asked her voice raspy and tiredness in her eyes "shit I'm sorry I forgot I'm like three hours behind you, it's probably late there and you have school" you blurred out "no no it's okay" Audrey quickly said "is that Audrey?" Malia asked from the bedroom doorway
"Hi!" Audrey said waving Malia quickly walked over and smiled at Audrey through the computer screen "how is it in Lakewood?" Malia asked "pretty nice besides all the murders and shit" Audrey laughed slightly which made you smile "Same here"
"We'll talk to you tomorrow bye Auds" you said hitting the end call button "i like her" Malia said walking out of the room
