      You were laying in bed questioning where Audrey was after today in the halls with sheriff she's been off you knew something was bothering her. She texted you and told you she'd be at your house an hour ago and now you were just lying here waiting for her, she'd be able to get in with the spare key you had given her she basically moved in.

But now that she had come in you kinda wished she didn't

You lost count of how many times she had kicked you in the ribs trying to find a comfortable position. Being a good girlfriend and wanting to calm her down you tried to cuddle up to her which in return she gave you an elbow to the boob in an attempt to shrug you off. You rolled to the other side of the bed and fell asleep which didn't last long

Only maybe an hour later you woke up dew to the feeling something was missing and you were right. When you turned to see if Audrey had finally fell asleep she wasn't even there. You stumbled downstairs rubbing your eyes trying to unjust them to the light in the hallway, pulling down your shorts more since they rode up from the tossing and turning in the bed. You bumped your bare thigh on the railing "fuck" you whispered holding your thigh. That's gonna bruise

Halfway down the hallway you heard a groan and a glass shatter making you raise an eyebrow. You slightly wanted to run the other way and just let Audrey get her angry out. We have enough plates. You knew how Audrey got when she was mad or stressed out, her tendency to become a disaster was very high

You loved her though. You had never told her that you loved her but you did. You walked into the kitchen to see Audrey quickly wipe away tears and suck in a breath and turned to you with a forced smile , she had a wet towel in her hand and you could sense her stress "babe?" You asked only making her gently sob "hey hey" you quickly walked over stepping over the small puddle of water and broken glass and held her "whats wrong?"

"I just wanted some water" she choked out only making you hold her tighter "go sit down I'll clean it up" she walked over and sat at the center counter in her favorite bar chair. You grabbed a dry towel and cleaned up the water now picking up the pieces of glass and placing them in the trash can "where did you go last night?"

You pecked your head up over the counter before fully standing up "I went out to get you ice cream remember" you placed a hand on your hip knowing where she was going with this "how'd you get that bruise?" She questioned pointing at the purple bruise that was forming on your thigh "That's what your so stressed about, you really think I killed her"

Audrey looked down strands of her raven hair falling into her blue eyes. "I'm not the killer, Audrey don't say that!" You said firmly feeling your anger start to rise, you and Audrey both had tempers and even though this would be your first fight you could tell it was gonna be nasty

Audrey stood up from the seat "You could be their accomplice!" Audrey protested you scoffed and turned around to grab a glass out of the cabinet and setting it down on the counter "BABE"

Audrey shook her head and ran her hands over her face you looked into her ice blue eyes. You didn't see what you saw this morning something had changed in her. Audrey had shut down. You were both crumbling

"You dont know what I'm going through Y/n-" she pointed a finger in your direction and started crying again "YOU WONT TELL ME"

"I WANNA PROTECT YOU GODDAMNIT" she slammed her hands on the counter and shut her eyes obviously trying to calm down your hands were shaking and you couldn't stop it you felt like your whole body was shaking

"I don't need you to protect me Audrey, I can protect myself and I don't know how many times I have to say that until it finally gets through you head" you lowered your voice but it still got her attention she looked up at you helplessly. You waited for her to say something but she didn't "maybe-maybe we just-" "need to take a break" Audrey cut you off saying exactly what you would

You opened your mouth to say something but closed it as you looked down. Audrey wiped the tears off her face and stood up straight, taking a deep breath before heading to the door.
You didn't stop her and you know she didn't look back

As soon as the door shut and Audrey stepped outside she could hear you let out another scream

You felt your heart ache as you grabbed the glass off the counter and threw it at the ground and let out a cry you had been holding in. The shattering of the glass fading in your ears
Audrey Jensen just walked out on you, the one person you wanted to be with, the one person you crushed on. You loved her; she wasn't one for emotions so you never told her, and there was always that fear that she wouldn't say it back so instead you showed your love through your emotions or you actions

Your head was spinning; heart aching. It took every muscle in your body to climb the stairs and get in your bed but you did it

You were in bed but without a certain someone next to you
