"She just walked out?" Brooke asked repeating what you just said, you nodded and looked back down at the picture of Audrey on your phone. It was a snapchat she sent you, which you took a screenshot of since you thought she looked really cute "enough" Brooke snatched the phone out of your hand only causing a pout to form on your lips "looking at old pictures of her isn't gonna help" Brooke tossed your phone into the furry chair in the corner out of your room
You let out a defeated sigh and sat criss cross on your bed "let's talk about better things" Emma suggested obviously seeing talking about you and Audrey's break up was upsetting, "oh yeah! Like we can go dress shopping for the speeches at the carnival" Brooke said with a slight squeal "Im not going"
"What?" Emma asked the smile falling from her face "Audrey's gonna be there and besides I get to go to give a stupid fucking speech that only wins me picking up trash? No thanks I do enough of that when I help Dustin clean his room" you replied wiping a tear from your cheek with the hem of your shirt
"Did Audrey ask you to go with her?" Brooke said her words softer and less happy "why didn't I say yes?"
You and Audrey were sitting on the couch in the coffee shop you were watching her download pictures and videos from her camera. "Hey wanna go to the carnival?" Audrey asked catching your attention "the same carnival I gotta do a speech at?" You asked raising an eyebrow at her. "Yes that one" she replied rolling her blue eyes at you
"Only if you win me a teddy bear" you said Audrey chuckled and playfully nudged you "yeah I'll think about it"
You laid back on your bed "you gong to school tomorrow?" Brooke asked you nodded "can't avoid her forever"
School You didn't wanna go to school but you knew you had to Audrey couldn't go away forever. You walked into the hallway feeling your heart beating against your rib cage when you saw Audrey standing with the normal group

you yelled at yourself mentally and stopped in the middle of the hall Brooke saw you and sadly smiled and waved you over Audrey noticed and followed her gaze her once happy mood because of one of Noah's jokes dropped, you sucked in a breath and took a step forward

You stopped and looked away you couldn't go this you looked around the hall and spotted Zoë a smile forced its way on to your face as you walked over to her "Zoë" You said she turned and a slight confused look formed on her face "where did you get your jacket?" You asked touched the bottom of her white leather jacket "um forever 21?" She replied with a confused smile "and you are my new best friends" you said with a little giggle she huge smile spread onto her face "you wanna ditch?"
Her smile dropped "like school?" She said with a nervous laugh you nodded "we can go to the mall, look at dresses for the carnival" You said playing with the strap of your book bag hoping she would say yes you needed to leave
"Sure" she replied shutting her locker holding her binder to her chest "lets go" you gripped her hand and pulled her down the hallway
Brooke scoffed and rolled her eyes Audrey twitched her lips she was hoping you would walk over "its not fun when mom and mom are fighting" Brooke said eating a piece of candy she found in her locker "What?" Audrey asked "can't you just get back together?, I mean it's because of you obviously"
Audrey jaw dropped at Brooke's harsh words Brooke sighed "Im Sorry that was really rude" she apologized "why don't we just go with them?" Noah asked Emma raised an eyebrow at him "I mean not go with them but go to the mall spy on them a little bit" he said with an innocent smile
