Chapter Zero: Raging Dax

Suddenly the doors swing open violently, and slam against the wall, revealing Dax. He looks, as I said before, pissed off.

Dax walks up to me and inspects my wounds which makes his anger flare up more. He then picks me up and moves me towards the back left corner for safety. I gasp in pain as my leg moves around jerkily.

"I am sorry, I just needed to move you out of the way," he says softly as he sits me down.

"It's ok. Kick his ass," I say through clenched teeth as he moves away from me.

I watch as Dax radiates so much anger that he begins shaking after Clovis says something that I don't hear. I can feel it coming off him in waves as he stands in front of me.

I try to stand up, just in case I need to move, but my leg doesn't allow it. At the sound of my pained noises, I assume, Dax snaps his head towards me again. I see the inside half of both of his eyes turn purple, leaving the outside half of his left its natural green, and his right, its natural blue, which indicates that his Wolf is near the surface, then they begin to change more- the purple seemingly dancing with the green and blue of his eyes.

Dax turns to look at Clovis. "You pathetic excuse of an Alpha!" He thunderingly spits out, sounding both like Dahlia and himself at the same time, sending chills down my spine. "You are going to wish you never messed with my mate!"

He and his wolf are in sync?!
