Chapter Twenty-four: An Angry Alpha And An Excited Luna

~Daxera's POV~

I wake up startled by the anger I feel from Russell through our mate link. Alarmed and confused from being roughly woken up, I feel terrible but decided to get up anyway.

'Russell and Whitefang are furious,' Dahlia says with a yawn in my head.

'He better have a good reason to be this angry or HE will be in trouble,' I reply, annoyed. I open the link to him and am hit with a nauseating amount of anger but push through it anyway then I am able to see through one of his eyes.

"-mise, it wasn't what I wanted to do! They threatened me and my family, I had no choice," Jess is saying frantically.

Uh oh, something must have happened.

I rush to get up, feeling the urgency of the situation. Running from my room, I barrel through the house and out the door. Russell roars with fury.

"You had a choice! you could have come to me or my dad! As a pack we are supposed to be united and help each other out of sticky situations!" He bellows. I make it to the portal and jump through it but I land unevenly which causes me to fall and slide into the hallway.

"I was planning to tell you, I was just waiting for the right time," Jess pleads. I quickly get up and bolt out of the building to where Russell and everyone else is. Coming to a stop by Russ, I look at everyone here seeing someone I don't recognize. I ignore her, trying to focus on what is happening now.

"When was the right time to tell me? Wait I can answer that: WHEN YOU WERE FIRST CONTACTED!" Russell shouts. Jess then begins to sob.

"I was approached a few weeks before we wen't to Texas by Clovis. He said if I didn't do what he asked, that he'd kill my family and me after he was done taking over. I was scared Alpha, after I met Charlie I told myself I would tell you but there was so much going on I didn't have time to let you know," Jess cries as Charlie brushes up against her.

"There is no fucking excuse!" Russell steps forward making Jess flinch and Charlie growls but I grab his arm, stoping him. He looks at me with his purple eyes, allowing me to see the fury of betrayal in them. He looks away from me, to Jess.

"I should kill you for this! It's probably your fault half the pack is sick!" Russ growls out. This is where I should jump in.

"What about Charlie, Russell? He had nothing to do with this and you shouldn't punish him for something she did," I say authoritatively. "Keep in mind for whatever you do, that Char is my best friend, and also a member of the pack now," I add.

Russell looks at me, then begins thinking.

"I will figure something out. For now though," he turns back to Jess using his Alpha command and says, "you are confined to the guest house in your room. You will not be allowed to shift ether while in there." I sigh, knowing that is the nicest punishment she could have hoped for, next to death anyway.

"Now you mister! Next time you get pissed off and I'm trying to sleep, don't let it go through the link. I woke up nauseated and nearly threw up," I say as I poke his chest playfully. He looks at me with softened features then gives me a hug.

"I'm sorry sweetheart," he tells me then gives me a kiss. I kiss him back then snuggle my face in his neck inhaling his scent affectively making my nausea disappear. I let go of Russell then remember the new girl so I turn around and look at her.

"By the way, who are you?" I ask pointing to the girl that Dante is holding close to him.

"She is my mate. Her name Accalia her Wolf name is Neelkamala," Dante says informing me proudly.
