~Russell's POV~

When we get back to LA, Dax, Orion, and I talk about what to do and we ultimately decide that we are going to leave today instead of tomorrow for home. Now we are deciding what to do for the next two hours before we leave.

"What do we want to do before we head home?" I ask everyone in the hotel room. I look at Orion, who shrugs, then I look at Dante, who also looks like he doesn't know, then I look at Dax.

"I would like to go to the Santa Monica beach. I've heard about it from one of my old friends and he told me it's a nice beach," Dax says as he looks at everyone else. They all nod then he looks at me.

"Sure, let's go," I say. "Do you know where it's at?" I ask Dax. He smiles at me.

"Of corse I do. We are two blocks away from the beach," Dax says excitedly. He then proceeds to find then change into his swimming shorts.

"Someone is excited," Orion says with a short laugh then Dax realizes he just undressed in front of everyone making his cheeks turn a cute reddish color.

"I am so sorry guys I forgot," he says sounding embarrassed making me laugh.

"We don't care, Dax, we've all grown up seeing other people's junk. And besides, Dante and I are straight," Orion explains.

"It's still a little weird for me though... Anyway get ready and let's go," he says, still with a slight blush. I then find and change into my swimming shorts that Dax had packed for me when I apparently wasn't looking.

"I think I am going to just walk around and explore, but I'll stay close," Orion says but before I can say anything, Dax speaks up.

"Well, it's not like anyone is going to attack us in the middle of the day. Go where you please," Dax says and I can't help but smile at his words.

'He is such a sweetheart,' Whitefang says to me.

'He really is. I am glad we're mated to him,' I reply as I look at Dax.

"Are you sure? I mean you can't be too careful?" Dante says this time.

"Though that may be true, everyone needs even a little time to do whatever they please every now and then," Dax says without missing a beat. "Anyway, let's go have some fun, it's not like we have a beach in Las Vegas we can go to at any time," he says with a laugh then he takes my hand in his and leads me outside towards the beach.

I can't hep but admire the goodness inside of Dax. I hope that he never changes, I think to myself as we walk down the road.

"That was nice what you told Orion. And I know you keep hearing this, but I really do think you'll make a fantastic Luna. I love you so much," I tell him honestly as I stop walking, turn Dax towards me, and kiss him. Dax breaks the kiss and looks at me after a few seconds.

"I love you too," he says with a smile. Then, hand in hand, we walk down to the beach.

Once we get to the edge of the water, Dax takes off his shirt then wades out into the water 'till it is up to his knees. I watch him for a few minutes as he stands in the water taking in the nature of it all, then he turns towards me and motions for me to come join him.

Taking off my shirt, I throw it where he left his, then follow after him. The water feels refreshing as I walk through it to Dax. When I finally get to him, he looks like he is having the most relaxing day ever.
