~Russell's POV~

"Alright, what did you mean when you said I could be like you?" Dax asks, breaking the five minutes long silence that started when we got into the dorm. I look into his beautiful green eyes in an attempt to calm my speeding heart before I answer.

"Well first off, you are my mate, and a mate is pretty much a soulmate. Humans like yourself that are mated to Wolf Shifters already have a dormant Wolf in them and to wake it up, the human needs to make a decision, and it's not a light one. If you choose not to be a Wolf you can always change your mind but if you chose to be a Wolf, there is no turning back from that," I say, giving him time to let that sink in.

My heart continues to beat rapidly in my chest from my nerves.

"So if I decide right now that I want to be a Wolf would I start the change?" Dax asks me after a few minuets.

"No. You'd make your decision, I would mark you, and then depending on what you chose, you would ether start the transformation or continue to be human," I answer back causing him to sigh. My nerves never leave me, and my heart rate doesn't drop any.

"So explain the 'mate' thing again please?" He asks me.

"All Wolf Shifter's have mates. A Wolf's mate is the only person who one hundred percent completes them. Nether of the mates know who it is until they meet each other. Their oh so delicious smell takes you to them, then when you see the person your Wolf will scream almost painfully the word 'mate' over and over again." I see that Dax has a small blush on his cheeks.

"And what do I smell like?" He asks shyly, not looking at me.

He is just adorable, I think to myself.

"Vanilla bean mixed with butter scotch," I answer seductively causing him to shiver.

"You do live in a pack right?" Dax asks as he gets up and walks to the kitchen.

"Yeah, my dad is the Alpha of the pack actually," I tell him simply. Dax comes back into the living room with two Pepsi's and hands me one.

"Damn, that is pretty cool. Does that make you next in line?" Dax asks as he thinks about it. I nod then he seems to realize something. "Wait.. If you are next in line for Alpha then what would that make me?" He asks me, looking worried. I smile at him.

"It would make you the Luna of the pack," I tell him proudly.

"Ok, interesting, what does that mean exactly?" He still looks worried.

"It means you are the precious mate of the Alpha and is his number one priority to protect. Priority two is the pack, which also the Luna is responsible for since ya know, they are a team," I finish, making him smile

"What will happen to me if I decide to change?" He asks looking me in the eyes.

"Well, for about twenty four hours you'll have a small headache because your inner Wolf is waking up. When he is awake you'll be able to talk to him and learn his name, then you'll start to go through the change into your Wolf form," I answer as I watch Dax carefully.

"Will it be painful?" He asks looking worried again.

"For the first time yes, because your body has to get used to having a Wolf form, but anytime after that, it won't hurt. I am able to change at the snap of a finger, almost." After I finish I see a relived look on his face.

"Alright. Um, what would happen if I didn't do any of this?" Dax asks. I have to look away so he can't see the hurt in my eyes.

"We would just go our separate ways. I would always have you in my heart 'cause we Wolves only mate with one person," I explain with only the second part being true. If he doesn't accept me I will be in serious trouble, like a life threatening trouble.
