Chapter Fourteen: Talking To Charlie

~Unknown POV In Third Person~

"King, I have news about the rogue that survived the Alpha shooting. He has left us after gathering information about our plans. He is planing on telling the little Alpha what is going on." King looks down to his informant in frustration causing Mr. Informant to cower a little in fear.

"Do we know who he is- actually I don't care. I want him dead before he gets to the 'Alpha.' I want War Wolf squad one in pursuit of the rogue. Tell them all you know about him," King commands as he climbs down his throne-like chair. "I will destroy the Windfall pack by any means necessary," he adds.

"A-alright King, I'll be g-going now," The informant says as he turns and leaves the always-dark, menacing room. King walks down to where his main office is, then opens the door to see that his Beta is waiting for him.

"Good morning King. Everything is set up, I just need the 'go ahead' from you," the Beta says as King sits at his desk.

"Yes, commence with the plans. I just might have to deal with the soon to be Alpha myself." King says Alpha as if it holds no meaning to him. "Our rogue friend has left us and is on his way to inform the little Alpha of our plans. Wether the rogue can make it there or not, the little Alpha won't be able to do anything for his pack anyway," he adds with a sigh.

"Alright, I will let our spy know, hopefully, her newfound mate won't pose a problem for us," the Beta says with a bow and leaves the room.

~Russell's POV~

It has been a few days since Charlie ran out on Jess. The day after it happened Dax went over to see Charlie and talk to him, but his scent wasn't fresh indicating he hadn't been there that night.

To pass the time, I thought it would be a good idea to start teaching Dax how to use his Wolf abilities. Training is fast because he is a quick learner but when the next day comes, Charlie still hadn't shown up.

I started having Emma keep and eye on Jess. She just stays in a cave she found but doesn't leave it for any reason.

That day, I started teaching Dax how to fight in both Human and Wolf form. I'd even managed to get Orion to teach him a few of his moves. Training keeps on for two days with still no luck at finding Charlie.

Today though, we did find that he had been home for something but then left again so we follow the scent trail and it leads us to a motel.

"You think he'll listen to us?" I ask as we follow his scent up to the room he is staying in.

"I can't stand seeing Jess like that so he better," Dax says suppressing a growl. I smile internally at his care for someone he doesn't really know. When we finally come to the door of his room, Dax knocks a few times and we wait.

At first there aren't any sounds coming from the room, but eventually we hear shuffling, then the door opens, revealing a messy haired, half dressed, Charlie. He glares at me then looks at Dax.

"So you had him sniff me out?" Charlie asks in an accusatory tone. Dax sighs before answering.

"Something like that. Can we talk?" He asks looking Charlie in the eyes.
