Chapter Fifteen: The Storm

(A/N Sorry it has taken me this long to update. Also to everyone who is reading my story, thank you! I appreciate it! This chapter is the longest so far.)

~Daxera's POV~

"...Before I could do anything, the door slams open then Dax punches the guy's wrist, breaking it, then slams the guy into the door frame, knocking him out. I was shocked; we didn't work on disarming people's weapons yet," Russell says excitedly talking about the attack.

Alistar ended up taking us to the Diner after the rogue attack so Russell and I could train a little more. Charlie came with us because he was a little too freaked out to go home, which is understandable, I just hope that he will talk to Jess. Russ is proud of how I handled the situation seeing as that was my first ever rogue problem and he decided to tell everyone else about what happened.

I smile at him sheepishly and nod.

"Seems like you're and natural fighter and strategist," Emma says enthusiastically, making Orion nod quietly.

"You'll make a fine Luna, Dax," Orion comments, making me blush a little.

"Thanks, guys," I say as I look around. Emma, Russ, Orion, and Alex are standing near me, Russell being the closest and all are smiling.

The only people I wish to be here is Charlie and Jess.

"Can you show us?" Alex asks, breaking me from my thoughts. I look at him with a confused expression.

"I can show you my point of view," Russell says deepening my confusion. I hold my hand up to stop anyone else from talking.

"Wait, wait, what are you talking about?" I ask.

"We haven't reached that part in your pack link training, but you'll be able to show memories through the link," Emma says. Russ looks at her with a playful glare.

"So you are the one teaching him that?" He asks rhetorically, with a smile.

"It was supposed to be a surprise.. Well, I guess it was and good thing I paid attention to your surroundings too," I say with a chuckle as I poke Russ. He laughs and agrees, shaking his head yes.

Hearing a twig snap, I turn and look towards the forest. There I see Charlie walking out of the forest with Jess. I smile at the two as I watch them walk towards us. I wave then call out to them.

"Hey... how is everything?" I ask as I look from Char to Jess. Jess looks at me then smiles a little.

"After she explained everything to me, I decided I would give it a chance," he says, slowing his words when he notices me walking over. I smile happily at them both then when I get closer, I pull them both in for a hug. Suddenly I heard a gasp from Emma. I turn around to see her 'far away' look and smiling. I look around at the others and see they also have the same look on their faces, then I figure they are watching Russ's memory of me and the rogue.

"Damn, man. From Russell's point of view, what you did looks badass," Emma says with a smile then blinks away the far away look. I blush in embarrassment.

"Alright, alright. It's time for us to train," Orion says saving me from having to talk about it anymore.

Honestly, I get clammed up when I get praised, it makes me feel a little awkward and I don't really know what to say.
