"And this is the stage!" I said to Mackenzie. We toured the whole theater. She loved everything about it. We sat down in one of the seats in theater, putting our feet up.
"So.. How is your new family?" I asked
"Amazing. They remind me a lot of Mom and Dad." She said, "How's living with a broadway star?"
"Honestly, not that exciting. He's either doing shows or writing music for this new movie that's coming out soon." I said quietly.
"Oh. Do you still do gymnastics and dance?"
"Gymnastics Yes. I just started dancing again. I am actually doing what Mom did. I'm dancing in Hamilton."
"That's Amazing!" She exclaimed, "Anything exciting with gymnastics?"
"Yes! I have championships in a couple weeks, and then i'm done for a couple months. During that break, I'm gonna focus on dancing again." I said.
"I haven't danced in forever. My family forced me to play lacrosse for school." She rolled her eyes. "Wait, why haven't you been in school?"
"I stopped going like 3 years ago, now I am being taught by homeschooling."
She nodded. We sat in silence for a little. It felt normal. "We should dance again! We can both do our solos!" Mackenzie said.
We both got up and ran to the stage.
"Maddie. Mackenzie!" we heard Lin yell from the hallway. We rolled our eyes knowing that Mackenzie had to leave.
"Mackenzie has to leave! We got a show in 2 hours. You can see each other later!" Lin said running back to his dressing room as the cast started coming in.
I hugged Mackenzie and said by to her adoptive family and walked back to my room.
I chilled on my phone until I heard the musical began. I shut my light off and plugged my phone into charge. I laid down and started falling asleep. The last thing I heard was Pippa starting to sing Burn.
