I woke up the next morning dreading going to school. I got dressed walking out to the kitchen grabbing my bag and meeting Lin in the car.
"You sure you wanna go?" Lin said
"Yes." I answered him. He put the car in drive driving me to school.
"Have a good day." He said, hugging me. I got out of the car walking into school.
I was extremely surprised. I wasn't receiving any weird looks from anyone and everyone was acting normal. Walking into all my classes, I was treated nicely and nobody brought up the text.
Once school finished, I walked out to the car seeing Lin waiting. He looked like he was completely stressed and upset.
"You okay? How was rehearsal?"
"Madison .. your grandparents want custody of you. They've contacted the judge and he's all for them taking you."
I was shocked. Tears began streaming down my face. I can't leave him. How could they try taking me?
