Finnick POV
I run as fast as I can. And I run for her. I forget of everything else and my mind focuses on running towards her. And its then I realize that nothing means anything without her with me. I run through everything that gets in my ways and I don't let anything stop me from getting to her. I let go of everything. I let go of Annie and the string that ties me to her, because the sad truth is that she isn't here anymore, but Katniss is. And she's the one who needs me right now.
I catch sight of her and run faster. My first priority is to get to her and when I do, I find her on the ground crying. And when I look up I realize why.
They are all there. Prim, Gale, her mother. Hanging, dead. And with them lies a message. A white rose attached to each of them is message enough.
I throw Katniss over my shoulder and run. We hear other hovercrafts closing in and we dash through ours to get to the control room. And all at once, we say, "They've found us."
