Yes I love anime! I'm half Japanese and so I don't read the subtitles XD my favourite is Hunter X Hunter btw. And no. It's not ew.
I sat down in my seat and immediately turned to my left, and hinted to him Not to talk to me. I didn't want to talk to Travis right now. I am still curious about how he acted in the music room a few days ago, but that doesn't mean I want to talk to him. He's very annoying.
Travis didn't take the hint. "Heeeey Katelyn!" He said I growled and ignored him.
I now officially hated science class. It wasn't the subject, it was our seats. In science class our seats were chosen, and I was in the very front, but my teacher let me switch with someone who was siting the back but couldn't see.
I always liked to sit in the back and! It was the only table that had only one person at the table. I had always been able to sit all alone. It was great to have a table to myself!
Until Travis came.
Not only did I now have to sit with someone, he was very very annoying! Often during class I had to stop myself not to strangle him.
"Your eyes are blue like the ocean and baby I'm lost at sea." That's when, I snapped.
I turned to him "Ok Travis I don't appreciate your behaviour. You may find it fun, but I don't. I want you to respect my opinion and so please shut up. If you don't, I'll punch you and then your stomach will be in pain and you'll be in bed for a few days."
At that, Travis seemed to have noticed I was very much serious, and he stopped bothering me. I sighed in relief as I was finally able to listen to the teacher in peace.
For the rest of the day Travis didn't bother me. After school, I almost skipped towards the music room but I contained myself. I didn't want to bother my dad and my little brother (in this she only has 1 brother) so I was going to practice at school today.
I practiced my competition piece and fixed the little mistakes. The piece was pretty good, but it wasn't complete. After getting frustrated, I fixed some of the mistakes. The other ones weren't going to be fixed in just one day.
I took out my other piece. This one wasn't a competition piece. It was my own that I was doing for fun. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. I imagined an audience watching me. I had always loved performing. It was nerve racking, yes, but being able to play beautiful music and share it to everyone was amazing. Especially if they loved it and clapped for me.
I played the piece and at the end I smiled with satisfaction. I had made a few mistakes, but it had sounded good. I heard clapping and at first I thought it was my imagination. Turns out it wasn't.
Travis came through the door. I gasped. "You. Were. Listening!?" I yelled in anger. Travis flinched. "Sorry! It's just I was going to come in the room but I heard you play, and it was just... wow."
I smiled a little bit. "Thanks. But what did you need here?" Travis' smile went away. "I- uh... I..."
I looked at him. "The other day, I saw you sit infront of the piano. What was that?" Travis looked taken aback. "Y-you saw that!? W-why?"
I laughed at him on the inside. Now he was the one being bothered. "Well, I simply just wanted to practice, and you happened to be there. Do you... play the piano?"
Travis looked uncomfortable. "Yes..." I smiled. "Great! Play for me." Travis looked at me like I was crazy. His eyes wide and his mouth hung open. "Why do I have to play?"
I smiled. "Because I need an accompanist for my competition and I can't find one. I don't care who it is anymore. I need one."
"B-but!"
I grabbed his arm and pulled him towards the piano. "Play." Travis sighed. "Fine. But don't be disappointed as to how bad I am."
Travis sat there. "Umm... what do you want me to play?" I shrugged. "Play whatever."
Travis placed his hands on the keys and closed his eyes, and then he played.
My mouth hung open in surprise. I haven't been ready for something good. I had honestly been expecting him to play bad. Maybe just like twinkle twinkle little star, or Mary had a little lamb. The song had sounded so sad it hurt to listen and I felt like I was going to cry. (I obviously didn't though)
When he finished he left his hands on the piano for a few seconds after looking at me. "So?" I laughed and smacked him. "I thought you were going to play horrible! That was amazing."
Travis smiled. "Thanks. But it wasn't that great." I looked at him in disbelief. "Does that mean that you could play better?"
Travis shrugged. "When I was younger my pieces sounded better I guess."
"Why?" I asked him. He looked away and stayed quiet. I didn't want to push him too much seeing how he reacted, so I didn't push any further.
"Ok meet you in the music room after school tomorrow." I said. He looked at me in surprise. "What!?"
"You're my accompanist now. Deal with it."
