Travis came up to me after school. "Hey Katelyn!" He said showing a big bright smile.
I forced a small smile greeting him back. Honestly, I can't handle school sometimes. In first period, I had a test that I didn't know about. Second period, we were given a hard project that's due tomorrow! On top of that, she pared me with Travis. Third period I had yet another test, and last period I was too exhausted to listen and I got in trouble by the teacher.
It's as if the teachers do this on purpose! They want us to not have a good school year and they want us to suffer! I don't even like our new second period teacher! Our old teacher had much more knowledge about the subject, and she was way more fun! The new teacher doesn't understand the topic well enough! I find it very irritating. I sighed in exhaustion.
"Are you all right? Did something happen?" Travis asked me with concern written all over his face. His vibrant green eyes looked less energetic, and his eyebrows were drawn closer together.
"Ya. I'm all right. Do you want to get started on the project?" I asked Travis.
"Sure. Do we go to my house or your house? Whichever one works for me."
I thought about how my dad would react if he saw a boy in the house, even if it were just for a project. I also thought of the posibilities of Kasey, and of him getting hurt...
"Let's go to your house." I said. "Just to let ya know, my house is pretty far from school." He said.
I chuckled. "Oh it can't be that far."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Apparently it was indeed far from school. It took us quite a while to get here. What was I going to do on my way home? Walk of course. Maybe even run for the sake of it.
Travis's house was not too big, nor too small. It was a nice size.
Travis opened the door and waved for me to come forward but I hesitated. It's gonna be awkward dealing with his parents wouldn't it?
"I live alone. It's fine." He said as if reading my mind. He gave me a reassuring smile.
And so I stepped in his house. It was a little messy but not anything too bad. I guess messy was to be expected from a guys house. There was a number of green things. There wasn't a piano in where I could see, so I assumed it was further into the house.
I sat on his green couch in the living room. "So you like green... don't you?" I asked Travis who nervously scratched his head and noddded.
"Do you want anything to eat?" Travis asked me. I wouldn't normally take up on those kinds of offers when I first go to someone's house, but honestly I was starving. I nodded my head and Travis headed on into the kitchen.
As I was alone, I had lots of time to think. If he lives alone... doesn't that mean that we're at his house with only the 2 of us... I thought. I'll probably be saying thank you to those self defence classes I took a while back. I hope Travis won't make me break his nose. Or worse, make him have a few bruises and on the ground unconscious.
Travis came back with 2 bags of chips. "Do you like Barbecue chips or Ketchup Chips?" He asked me. "Barbecue chips." I said with a big grin on my face because those were my favourite. He threw the bag towards me, and I caught it and opened it eating a few chips right away.
"Ok so let's start the project. I hope we get a good grade." Travis said and I grinned. "Let's ace this project."
Hey guys! So this chapter was a little longer than the other ones but it's still short... heh. Anyways I hoped you enjoyed and keep being amazing.
