"Ok everyone is here. So you guys can-" the teacher couldn't even finish his sentence before all the kids started running away.
"Meet us at the bridge at 3:00 pm so we can make sure you're alive!" He yelled in a hope of us all listening to him.
We were all at the Phoenix Drop Amusement Park and everyone was beyond excited. Even I couldn't wait a bit and started to drag Travis ahead.
"Wait wait!" He said, "Over here I have a question." He said pulling out his music.
I grabbed it from his hand and ripped it up throwing it in the air like confetti. "We came here to play! Don't think for a damn moment about that."
"B-but!" Travis said.
"What are we going to ride first?" I asked full of excitement changing the topic already.
He smiled. "Hmmmm. The bumper cars?" He asked and I nodded my head.
"I am going to kick your butt!" I yelled.
"Let's see you try." Travis said with a wink.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Travis and I both rode as many of the competitive games possible when we ended with a tie. There was no more interesting competitive games that we could spot, so we just decided to ride other things.
"Hey can we ride that?" I asked pointing at the biggest ride. It was the best ride in the park, but there were no lineups because it's a school day!
Travis nodded and we went up to the ride both of us getting on.
As we went up I raised my hand. It kept climbing and climbing. "How tall is this thing?" Travis asked, looking a bit scared.
"I think it's almost..." I trailed off as I realized we were on the very top.
We then started going full speed and I laughed and whooped as Travis screamed a bit. As we came close to the camera I made a face and enjoyed the rest of the ride.
"Ha heard ya scream." I said to Travis after we got off the ride.
"I did not scream!" Travis retorted.
"What about we check the picture?" I said as we went to the place.
Travis must've forgotten about it because his face was filled with horror.
"Heh how about we go ride it once more! That was fun." He said.
"Ok! Let's go check the picture on our way there." I said dragging him behind me.
When we went to go check the picture I let out a laugh.
I was posing for the camera, but Travis was in the middle of screaming.
I took a quick picture, because those pictures are so darn expensive and it's my lunch money.
"I'll make sure to show this to Aphmau." I said as I put my phone away.
"Wait- you know what? Whatever let's go eat our lunch." He said giving up.
"I thought we were gonna ride this once more!" I exclaimed as I started to drag a groaning Travis behind me.
We rode the ride a few times more, resulting in Travis having a headache from his head banging against the sides of the seat, and him feeling sick from all the loops.
We left the ride and sat on a bench near the area.
"Are you... ok?" I said feeling a bit guilty because I had ignored his protests and rode the ride many times with him.
"I'm fine. I just need a bit of rest and fresh air." He said.
I nodded in agreement, as we sat there in silence as we watched couples and a few group of friends hanging out pass by us.
"I guess it's nice that we don't see too much people here." I said.
"Yeah." Travis muttered as he lay down on the bench closing his eyes looking a bit pathetic due to him clutching his stomach.
After a moment of silence, Travis finally spoke.
"Hey even if we are friends, I feel like we don't actually know each other." He said.
"That's because we don't. The only things that I know about you are that your name is Travis, that you do swimming, that you play the piano, that you like green, you're obnoxious, you're annoying..." I trailed off.
"Hey! Those last two statements were false!" Travis defended.
"Whatever you say."
"Ok so anyways, I was thinking that we could play the game where I ask a question, and you answer as much as you're comfortable with." He said.
"Oh I guess I'm not answering anything then. I'm not willing to tell you anything about myself." I said.
Travis kept quiet and stared at me until I gave in with laughter.
"I was just kidding! You go first." I said.
"Hmmm..." he said tapping his chin. "You like blue right?"
I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "Oh no! My favourite colour is pink and that's why my hair is blue and 90% of my stuff is blue."
"Ok ok your favourite colour is blue. I was just making sure."
"I used to like purple a bit more when I was younger though. Anyways, my turn. Is your hair colour dyed or natural?" I asked.
"Natural you?"
"Natural." I confirmed.
"Ok my turn. Where do you live?"
"In Canada." I said with a laugh as Travis frowned. "Why did you move to this town?"
"I used to live here, but I moved out for... reasons and went to live with my grandparents but later on I came back here. It's good that I did because I got to meet someone as beautiful as you." Travis said with a wink and I glared at him. Travis sat up. "So my turn. When are we going to go eat lunch?" He asked.
"Now." I said as we both stood up. We decided that we should leave the park once to get lunch cause it's expensive in here.
"What do you do for hobbies?" I asked Travis.
"I used to read a lot, but not much anymore. Nowadays I'm filled with homework, and when I have time I play games. I like to take walks, go swimming or listen to and play music. You?"
"I read, play games, go jogging, do some exercise. I've been getting into volleyball a bit lately, I like to meditate, watch tv, listen to and play music, and that's about it."
"Ah that's nice! It seems like we have a lot in common." Travis said as he wiggles his eyebrows.
"No just... no. Anyways what do you want to eat?"
"Tacos are my favourite food."
"Then we're getting tacos!" I said as I dragged him inside the store.
