"Ember?" Nate asked as he knocked on the bedroom door, popping his head around it.
"Yeah" I replied looking up from the book I was sat/ lay on my bed reading Death Cure, the third and last book in the maze runner series. I was determined to finish it by the time the movie came out.
"Me and the boys are heading off to the studio in a few minutes, will you be ok here on your own for a couple of hours?" He asked walking into the room after getting my attention.
"Sure. I'll read or watch TV or something." I smiled in reply.
"You sure? You can tag along if you want if you." He then asked.
"No thanks, I'd rather stay here, I wouldn't want to get in you guys' way or anything." I said.
"You wouldn't be in the way honestly." He responded.
I gave him a look to say I was sure.
"Ok if you're sure you don't want to come..." He said, making sure I was certain about staying in the house by myself.
"I'll be fine Nate. I'm 16 I won't burn the house down or anything don't worry" I laughed.
"Ok ok, we'll be back in a couple of hours. Oh and if you get hungry, there's plenty of food in the kitchen." He smiled.
"Okie dokie see you later" I smiled hugging him before he walked out of the room.
"See you later, message or call if there's any problems" He smiled popping his head in one more time before going down stairs.
I watched out of the window as they all piled in their car then pulled out of the drive way and heading down the street.
I felt a wave of relief hit me as the car turned and disappeared from my sight, not because I hated the boys or anything, which I didn't, but because I could walk around the house without feeling pressured to talk, just have a little free time by myself.
Soon, staying in my room became pretty boring and dull so I headed downstairs in search of something more fun and interesting to do.
I found my way into the living room and flopped down onto one of the sofas, picking up the remote that was at the side of me.
I tried flicking through the TV channels to find a interesting programme or decent movie but there was no luck, nothing that I was interested in or hadn't watched before.
Hmm, what else could I do? I thought to myself.
I didn't feel hungry or anything so there was no point in looking through the kitchen for food.
I also didn't really want to go out skateboarding or anything as I didn't know the area that well and knowing my luck I'd end up getting lost or even kidnapped.
For a while I sat on the sofa, staring at the blank tv screen but then, I spotted a red Nintendo ds that was covered in Pokémon stickers on the arm of the other sofa.
I guessed it must have been either Austin, Drew or Levi's as I knew if it was Nate's, it would most likely be covered in Spiderman stickers or something. Maybe nobody would mind if I played on it for a few minutes, then put it back straight after, as long as I was careful not to delete anything off it.
I then walked over to the other sofa before carefully picking it up and turning it on.
A large Pokémon logo filled the screen, I guess I should have guessed what game would be in it from the stickers.
Pokémon was one of the things I was really into when I was younger, as well as Peter Pan, who I believed was real for quite a few years. However I has kind of forced to grow out of them both, but I do faintly remember how to play Pokémon.
