You know that feeling when you're so nervous and the butterflies are swarming in your stomach and you feel like you could throw up any second? Well that was how I felt the morning of my first day of sixth form after the summer. Not only because it was the first day but because I knew I would run into the two people I didn't want to. Terrified didn't come close.

The bad side of my high school was that it had a sixth form attached and was also the only one for miles and I lived a 15 minute walk away from it. Also my parents having no idea about everything that happened over the past few years saw no reason why I should move. Staying put made things easier they said.

If I could, I would jump onto the next flight and go back to the safety of California in a heartbeat, where I could be happy with the boys. However the chances of that ever happening were a million to one so the only thing I could do was get on with life.

Whilst I got ready I thought back to the summer I'd spent with Nate and the others and how at home I felt. I thought of the amazing birthday I'd had and all the times the boys craziness had made me laugh.

Eventually I was pretty much ready, dressed in jeans, the blue tie-dye hoodie with The Tide logo on it that the boys had given me for my birthday, vans and one of Levi's beanies that he'd given me. Some how wearing the hoodie and hat gave me a small amount comfort. I also didn't forget to put on my plectrum necklace, the words reminding me that Levi was there for me, despite him being half a world away.

After grabbing some breakfast and piling the last of my things into my backpack I hopped on my penny board and headed down the street.

I kept my head down and eyes fixed on the ground once I arrived at the main doors and walked down the corridors, avoiding eye contact with everyone.

To no surprise my locker already had the word freak written across it, since I'd kept the same as last year. Sighing I dug out my locker key and opened it, placing my board and the books I didn't need inside it.

"Well, well, well, look who came running back." I froze hearing her voice from behind me.

"Realised they hated you after all did we? Poor little Ember." She continued as I slowly locked my locker.

"Turn around when we're talking to you freak." Olly yelled, making me jump and do as he said, standing with my back against the row of lockers as they both towered over me.

"Why'd you start ignoring us Em? Blocking my number wasn't a nice thing to do was it?" Libby said coming closer to my.

I shook my head in fear.

"And of course you didn't tell anyone our little secret did you?" She then asked. Oh no. I knew it.

I shook my head again.

"She's lying." Olly smirked from beside her.

"You shouldn't lie Ember, didn't mummy and daddy teach you that." She smirked.

I nodded, not knowing what else to do.

"Looks like we're gonna have to teach you a lesson..." I was trembling at this point.

I knew they'd find out. I just knew it.

I shut my eyes tightly, knowing what would be coming my way but was saved, for now, by the bell ringing through the corridor.

"Don't think you're safe freak, we'll be back later." Libby smirked before walking off down the corridor like nothing had happened, Olly's arm over her shoulder.

And I knew she meant it.

I took some deep breaths to calm myself down before heading to my first lesson which was Media, taking a seat in the back corner of the class as I always did.
